This is a fabulous holiday cottage, combining contemporary architecture, superb quality and stunning location in one sumptuous package.

Just a five minute stroll from the sand and pebble beach, renowned surfing waves and coastal footpaths at Trevaunance Cove, Little Broghas will appeal to beach lovers, surfers and walkers alike. Every detail has been meticulously planned, from the reverse accommodation with its luxurious bedrooms and bathroom downstairs and open-plan living-room upstairs, to the outdoor shower, surfboard store and sheltered outdoor decking-area, perfect for evening drinks.

There’s a wood-burner for cosy winter breaks, a traditional village pub and a beachside bistro within easy walking distance and plenty more shops, pubs, cafes and eateries dotted around this thriving and friendly seaside village.

With a choice of beautiful sandy coves and a stunning coastline lined with spectacular clifftop walks, you have the perfect backdrop for your Cornish holiday when staying in Little Broghas.

The reversed accommodation provides a wide entrance hallway and two luxurious bedrooms on the ground floor, separated by the stylish, contemporary family bathroom and all warmed by under-floor heating. With a Hypnos mattress on the king-size bed and White Company bed linen on all beds, you are guaranteed a perfect night’s sleep; fluffy White Company towels are also provided.

A bespoke oak staircase leads up to the spacious open plan living-room with its high apex roof and floor to ceiling windows leading out to the deck. A toasty wood-burner in the sitting-area invites you to curl up and relax at the end of a brilliant day exploring this glorious part of Cornwall, with Netflix provided for entertainment and a Bose speaker for streaming your music. The kitchen-area is fully equipped and offers a lovely view across the valley to the evocative remains of Wheal Friendly tin mine standing majestically on the hillside opposite. Bespoke furniture mixes with statement pieces, further confirmation of the attention to detail paid to the presentation of the cottage.

Outside there’s storage for all your surfboards and other essential holiday kit and even a shower so you can rinse off after a day at the beach.

Set in the grounds of the owners’ home but with a good deal of privacy, you are warmly welcomed to Little Broghas with a greeting from the owner who will explain how everything works then leave you in peace to enjoy your holiday. A freshly baked cream tea and chilled bottle of Prosecco on arrival will set the tone for holiday enjoyment.

St Agnes is a thriving village offering all you need in the way of shopping, eating out and entertainment. There’s a butcher, bakery, pizza shop, fish and chip shop, greengrocers, mini-market and numerous cafes, pubs and bistros. You can book surf lessons at the highly acclaimed local surf shop, stock up on great beach gear or even order a bespoke surfboard (better than a stick of rock any day!).

The coastline, cliffs and beaches around St Agnes are a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site with stunning views from the coastal footpaths. The area has many relics of the area’s tin-mining past and is used for many film shoots (this is the heart of Poldark country and filming of the series took place locally). Fabulous sandy beaches appear as the tide drops back at Trevaunance Cove, and at nearby Chapel Porth, Porthtowan and Perranporth too, all lifeguarded from Easter to October and great for both families and surfers of all abilities.
