Over 200 years old, Mount Wise Cottage is a lovely, traditional stone cottage which overlooks Stithians Reservoir.
The cottage is attached to Mount Wise Farmhouse (4396) but faces away from it, with a small front garden, lawn area close by and plenty of fields for exercising your dog or just going for a walk. A short distance from the cottage, Stithians Reservoir is circled by an extensive scenic footpath, and the area also includes bird hides, a watersports centre and a pub en-route.
A warm welcome awaits your arrival, with fresh flowers, home-made bread, milk, wine, bubble bath and fluffy White Company towels - everything needed to relax after a long drive. The ground floor has a small but well-equipped kitchen, cosy sitting/dining-room and bathroom with shower over the bath. The first floor has two bedrooms, offering flexibility with a double and twin setup for two guests. The utility-room is next to the cottage, with washing machine, tumble-drier and recycling facilities, and can be used for storing muddy boots and drying wetsuits; bike storage is also available on request.
The cottage is perfectly positioned for exploring Cornwall, with easy access to Cornwall's north and south coasts and the far west of the county. The Helford River, beautiful Trebah Garden and Glendurgan Garden are all a short drive away. The world-famous Eden Project is only an hour away, and closer to home you can soak up maritime history in Falmouth, walk through the historic town of Helston or visit the beautiful Cathedral City of Truro.
The newly created Platinum Jubilee Trail, is a circular walk right on your doorstep if you fancy an explore. It takes you through the Parish of Wendron's unspoilt natural environment and industrial heritage. You may like to pack your walking boots as it is nearly eight miles if you complete it all at once.
While located in a rural area, the cottage has a fast internet connection. Dogs are welcome in the cottage, and with fields on the doorstep for walks, Mount Wise Cottage is the perfect place to bring your pet - with a welcome doggie bag awaiting him/her too!
