Set above the banks of the beautiful Percuil estuary, this outstanding period property enjoys fabulous views over the water from nearly all the rooms in Weatheroak. The south-facing slate terrace runs the full length of the house and is the perfect place to relax and watch the boats coming and going on the river. The subtropical gardens with their magnificent pine trees have large areas of lawn where children can play games and enjoy a 'swallows and amazons' style holiday.

Weatheroak offers a group of family or friends plenty of room to relax in style and, if dining in for the evening, the gorgeous bespoke kitchen is perfect for creating a culinary masterpiece with the help of the four oven electric Aga. Slate and solid oak flooring in the house complement the stone fireplace with a cosy open fire making the house the perfect destination whatever the time of year.

Two of the bedrooms are located in The Sail Loft which is a separate property set in the grounds of Weatheroak. The Sail Loft also has the most spectacular views from the floor to ceiling picture window in the large open plan living-room, with two comfy sofas making it a very comfortable space for grandparents or couples to retreat to from the main house at the end of the day. Flexibility of beds is offered, should your group meet the max occupancy please contact the sales team to discuss.

This is a truly wonderful place to spend quality time together as a family with no televisions to distract you. Instead learn to sail, try windsurfing or simply hire a canoe and potter down the river where all you will hear is the lapping of the water and birdsong. Boats, canoes and moorings can be hired from the boatyard/sailing school next door to explore some of the finest sailing waters in the country.

Please note, photographs of bedrooms 4 and 5 are coming soon.

The seaside village of Portscatho is close by with a selection of shops, friendly pubs and galleries and there is an excellent local farm shop at Curgurrell selling local produce, including freshly landed fish, crab and lobster. The well-known Hidden Hut cafe at Porthcurnick beach serves delicious outdoor cooked food and has regular ticketed feast nights during the year (booking is strongly advised). Nearby is the Driftwood Hotel with its Michelin star restaurant and The Idle Rocks and Hotel Tresanton in St Mawes - both have excellent waterside restaurants.
