Visiting some of the iconic and popular villages and towns such as Salcombe, Kingsbridge, Babbacombe, Dartmouth and Brixham is a doddle, and very much worthwhile as each of these beautiful places has something very special to offer.

You also have a fabulous selection of beautiful beaches within a reasonable car drive away. Teignmouth is a traditional seaside family beach with perfect sand for sandcastles, and there are several cafes along the promenade for fish and chips or an ice cream. Shaldon is a popular choice for a number of water sports including sailing, fishing, swimming, canoeing and rowing.

However why venture out at all when you are located within one of the most spectacular and sought-after locations, Dartmoor. With the numerous pubs and cafes littered throughout the moors, paddling in the streams and rambling aimlessly followed by a spot of lunch in a nearby pub is the perfect day out for all ages.
