Situated in the picturesque harbourside village of Boscastle, St Christopher's Cottage is an absolute beaut! Lovingly restored with stylish interiors packed full of charm and a wonderful sunny garden, creating a blissful sanctuary befitting of any saint, it's the perfect retreat for couples and families alike.

Stroll down the hill and immerse yourself in all the village has to offer, with its tiny harbour, rows of traditional fishermen's cottages and a selection of pubs, cafes, shops and galleries; feel the sand between your toes at Trebarwith Strand or even ride the waves – well, St Christopher is also the patron saint of surfing so you have to give it a go – or clear the cobwebs as you enjoy a good leg stretch along the coastal path; this is coastal living at its very best.

You will be charmed with the beautiful interiors that lie behind the stone facade of this traditional terraced cottage. The muted tones with splashes of colour accentuate the exposed stone work, flagstone floor and inglenook fireplace, and the sash windows really let the light flood in.

The open plan living-room has a modern kitchen with painted cupboards, Belfast sink, oak work surfaces and an electric range cooker set around the cottage dining-table, and the comfy seating-area has that all-important wood-burner, a welcome sight on chillier evenings. On the first floor the main bedroom and family bathroom are an absolute triumph and there's also a second sitting-room/garden-room providing an alternative area to lounge and relax in with direct access to the garden. The twin bedroom is found on the second floor under the eaves (so please mind your head) and is a perfect den for younger members of the group, with the Velux window providing a bird's eye view across to the garden where you are sure to send many an hour soaking up the best of the Cornish sunshine.

If you want to breathe new life into your walking boots this is the place to be with coastal, valley and countryside walks all on your doorstep. The neighbouring village of Tintagel is steeped in history with the National Trust Old Post Office and its famous castle said to be the birthplace of King Arthur, and a little further down the coast the charming village of Port Isaac is making modern day history - home to the Fisherman's Friends, TV's Doc Martin and two Nathan Outlaw restaurants. For more foodie delights the pubs at St Kew and St Tudy come highly recommended and if you take the foot ferry from Rock you will land in Padstow, which surely needs no introduction to any food connoisseur. If you want to arrive in Padstow by pedal power, you can hire bikes in Bodmin or Wadebridge and cycle along the renowned Camel Trail or to take things at a slightly gentler pace call into the historic houses and gardens at Pencarrow and Lanhydrock.
