Nearby pub

A traditional 15th century pub with cosy, characterful interiors, a real fire in winter and large terrace and garden with countryside views, ideal for summer months. Children and dogs are vey welcome.

Nearby beach

William the Conqueror landed here in 1066 before the historic Battle of Hastings. At the time the harbour was a bustling port but over time the coast has receded and now the local village is over a mile away from the beach. These days the shingle beach is pretty quiet with good views over the channel. Pay and display parking is available nearby and dogs are allowed although restrictions may apply in high season.
