Battle has an interesting past and this museum gives a fascinating insight into the history of this famous town. A visit here is a must if you are in the area.

Stand on the very spot where King Harold and William the Conqueror fought their famous battle. You can explore the abbey ruins, see the sculpture trail, visit the gatehouse exhibition and if all that sounds exhausting, pop into the Battle Abbey Cafe for refreshments.

Abbey Hotel is a gorgeous contemporary bar and restaurant, centrally located and perfect for lunch or dinner. A pretty walled garden is ideal for al fresco dining in summer and the cosy interior welcomes you during cooler months.
