With far reaching views across Gerrans Bay and an easy stroll to the centre of the charming village of Portscatho on the Roseland peninsula, Ketch is a rather lovely first floor apartment, perfect for a solo escape, romantic getaway or family holiday throughout the year. Ketch (aptly named after the traditional, two masted sailing boats which once plied the waters around the Roseland) is accessed via a short flight of steps at the rear of the property.

Light-filled, this delightful holiday apartment has living space to the front so you can take in the panoramic views across the bay to Nare Head and Gull Rock from both the sitting/dining-room and the kitchen. The main living space has a sitting-area next to the picture window and dining-table to the rear, ideal for sociable meals chatting about the adventures of the day. The bedrooms, a double and a twin, are decorated in neutral shades and share the family bathroom with a bath and shower over so you can choose either a relaxing soak or a refreshing shower.

Outside there is a shared grassed area with picnic table to the front for Ketch on the lower terrace, a path which includes four short flights of steps lead round the side of the house and down to the garden area. This path joins directly onto the coast path and can take you into the village centre in a matter of moments, ideal for a peruse around the shops or a visit to the local pub or cafes or directly on to the magical coastal footpath. The private parking space for Ketch can also be found on the coast path below the property and garden.

Step back in time with a visit to the unspoilt Roseland peninsula where you will find pretty Cornish villages, beautiful countryside and miles of the most stunning Cornish coastline. Portscatho is quite simply charming, with a pretty harbour, gorgeous beaches and a collection of eateries and independent shops. For your morning coffee and freshly baked pastries with a view, head to Tatams or try The Boathouse where you will find freshly prepared home-cooked food and real Cornish ice cream. Wander along the coast path to the iconic Hidden Hut where the freshest of local produce is served overlooking Porthcurnick beach.

A short drive away St Just in Roseland is the most peaceful and tranquil of places with a beautiful historic church and tropical surroundings, all beside a peaceful creek. For a livelier atmosphere head to St Mawes, a vibrant village with a busy harbour, castle and good selection of eateries. Energetic members of the party can hire a paddle board or kayak from the harbourside and explore the hidden coves and inlets nearby or perhaps catch the passenger ferry to the maritime town of Falmouth or quieter locations like Place. Diners looking for something special should head for Tresanton, owned by Olga Polizzi and the most stylish of restaurants, or if you are looking for something more modest you can't beat good old fish and chips from the paper sitting on the sea wall. The castle is also worth a visit; managed by English Heritage and offering spectacular views over the Carrick Roads.

If you are interested in visiting gardens there are lots of fabulous places to see including Trelissick, Trebah, The Eden Project with its mighty biomes and The Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Whether you plan to spend your days exploring the many beautiful sights in the area, walking the coastal path or just relaxing closer to home, Ketch is perfectly placed for all your Roseland adventures.
