TwinGather family and friends, and your four-legged companions, and settle into holiday life at the stylish Mewstone View. Tucked into the peaceful countryside of Cornwall's "Forgotten Corner" and just a 10 minute walk from Kingsand and Cawsand, this four bedroom retreat is all about comfort, connection and the simple pleasure of being together.
With space to spread out and room to come together, this property is perfect for family holidays, multi-generational trips and getaways with friends. Children can run, play and explore, adults can unwind in comfort, and dogs are always welcome to join in the adventure, with countryside walks, coastal paths and the fresh sea air right on your doorstep. Set within Wringford Cottages, a charming collection of six properties, it offers both privacy and the chance to enjoy a welcoming community atmosphere. Within the grounds, there's plenty to keep everyone entertained: take a dip in the seasonal indoor pool, challenge each other on the tennis court, or head to the fabulous games-room, where table-tennis, pool, and air hockey promise fun, friendly competition, and the chance to make new friends.
The open plan living area is the natural hub of the house, with countryside views in one direction and glimpses of the sea beyond and the distinctive outline of Mewstone in the distance, a constant reminder of how close the coast is. As evening falls, the wood-burner adds a warm glow for board games, lively chatter and relaxing nights in. The space flows effortlessly through the bi-fold doors onto the covered patio, where everything is set up for easy, all weather living. Sink into the lounge seating with a drink in hand, warm up under the heater on chillier days or fire up the barbecue and turn dinner into a relaxed outdoor feast. It's a natural extension of the living area, and sure to become your favourite place to spend time together.
When it's time to wind down, the four comfortable bedrooms offer peaceful retreats. After sun-kissed beach days, long coastal walks, dips in the pool or energetic dog adventures, it's the perfect place to switch off, settle in and enjoy a proper night's rest. Two of the rooms sit alongside the shower-room on the same level as the living area, making them ideal for anyone who prefers to avoid stairs.
The surrounding area offers a wonderful mix of coast, countryside and classic Cornish days out. Head down into Kingsand and Cawsand, for relaxed beach days, rock-pooling, swimming, paddle-boarding or simply stopping for some good old Cornish hospitality in one of the many places to eat and drink. From Cawsand, you can also hop on the foot ferry to the maritime city of Plymouth, where you can visit Plymouth Hoe and the historic Barbican, catch a touring West End show, or explore the city's latest hotspot, Royal William Yard, all brilliant options for a day out.
The area is a walker's paradise, so don't forget your boots. Head off along the South West Coast Path and follow it across dramatic clifftops with sweeping sea views - a route your four legged friend will adore. For something truly special, make your way to Rame Head and climb up to the historic chapel, where the views are unforgettable, especially at sunset. And down by the water's edge, the long stretch of sand at Whitsand Bay is perfect for an early morning stride, a sunset wander or simply letting the dog run free. So many options to explore.
Mount Edgcumbe Country Park is on the doorstep and ideal for family outings, picnics and long dog walks, with its historic house, acres of parkland, formal gardens and coastal trails to explore.
History lovers will enjoy visiting Antony House and the wider Port Eliot estate, both offering beautiful grounds to wander and a glimpse into Cornwall's past. A little further along the coast, the bustling fishing town of Looe makes a great day trip, with boat trips, seaside shops and classic fish-and-chips by the harbour.
