Kettle Cottage is a charming two bedroom, two bathroom cottage tucked down a little cobbled alley and resting in the very heart of Chipping Campden, just a stone’s throw from the town's pretty high street. Nestling in the Cotswolds National Landscape (formerly an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), Kettle Cottage offers a retreat perfect for couples, families or friends looking for a stylish escape yet close to all that Chipping Campden has to offer, and on foot too!

From the high street, with its historic houses and quintessential Cotswold vibe, you will look up and see a huge black kettle ceremoniously hanging on the wall leading you to the old, cobbled walkway immediately whisking your mind to times past and leading you to Kettle Cottage. The cottage lives up to its name and was where locals used to come to get their kettles mended and is immersed in hundreds of years of history.

Step indoors and you will be met with the open plan living space, simply but stylishly furnished and small kitchen with a two-ring hob and all you will need to rustle up memorable meals with local produce from the amazing artisan delis and yummy bakeries that you won’t be able to resist. The dedicated dining-area and contemporary seating-area with stylish sofas and chairs has an electric wood-burner which will keep you cosy in any season.

When the sun goes down and bedtime beckons, retire to the two good-sized bedrooms; one has a door leading you directly onto the raised patio. Both bedrooms have dedicated bathrooms for a relaxing soak in a bath filled with luxurious bubbles. A shared garden welcomes you (available for use when the owners, who live adjacent, are not using it) as does the raised private patio, which is accessible via steps from the garden or from bedroom one, a peaceful space with gorgeous views of the local church steeple, a place where you can enjoy your morning coffee surrounded by birdsong.

Kettle Cottage is perfect for a romantic stay for two but welcomes four guests who want to experience the cosmopolitan style of the beautiful Cotswolds.

Chipping Campden sits in the northern part of the Cotswolds, a rural area of south-central England covering notably Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. Its rolling hills and grassland are home to thatched medieval villages, churches and stately homes. The Cotswolds are famous for their honey-hued stone architecture. The golden colour of the buildings adds charm to the already incredibly pretty towns and villages.

The 102-mile Cotswold Way walking trail follows the Cotswold Edge escarpment from Bath in the south to Chipping Campden in the north. Chipping Campden boasts many historical buildings. St James' Church, where the Chipping Camden Music Festival is held every year; the early 17th Century Jacobean market hall is the pride of the town and a high street which is laced with charming Cotswold stone buildings and a range of individual shops, restaurants and pubs. Chipping Campden has held its own 'Olimpick Games' since the early 1600s including peculiar sports such as 'shin-kicking', most certainly worth lining your holiday up with to experience something so unique.

Chipping Campden is within easy reach of Cheltenham and Oxford and racing at the famous Cheltenham Racecourse, why not plan a trip for the Gold Cup? Gardens such as Hidcote are a delight and Stratford-upon-Avon is a short drive away, immerse yourself in the history of Shakespeare with a visit to the theatre or a wander around Anne Hathaway’s Cottage.

Further afield is the now famous Diddly Squat Farm Shop and Farmer's Dog pub and for a shopping experience Daylesford Farm Shop is definitely worth a trip. One visit to the Cotswolds and you will return time and time again.
