Look across blue waters to the hills beyond and at night, the twinkling lights of villages across the bay. Entered via electric gates Ferry Point House was specifically built for holiday accommodation. There is a small beach directly in front of the gate forming part of Rhu's beautiful Half Moon bay. There are pubs and restaurants close by for local dining and the market town of Helensburgh is a walk along the promenade where there are cafes, inns, restaurants, shops and supermarkets.
Visit Oban, Mallaig and Fort William and see the "Harry Potter Bridge". You can drive or take the train from Helensburgh Upper Station all the way to Mallaig. Boats to the Inner Hebridean Islands set sail from Oban. Trains from Helensburgh Central take you to Glasgow and Edinburgh. You can board the Waverley paddle steamer locally at Kilcreggan and sail the Clyde estuary through various sea lochs and the Kyles of Bute to Tighnabruaich and back. Walking, cycling and fishing are on your doorstep with a backdrop of stunning coastal views.
See Glencoe with its awe-inspiring mountain range and take a trip down Glen Etive following the River Etive where you are almost guaranteed to see golden eagles.
