TwinSitting in prime position with panoramic views across St Mawes harbour towards Pendennis and St Mawes castle, Summers is a stunning, contemporary holiday home with stylish interiors and literally just a stone's throw from pretty Summers beach. Summers is really rather special and we are sure you will agree! With charming St Mawes village just a short stroll away and the pretty beach and seascape view to the front of the property, this is the most magical of places for a holiday, whether it's a family getaway or time away with a group of friends.
Two flights of steps lead from the double width drive to the front door which takes you into the beautifully styled living space. Large windows to the front give a panoramic view of the harbour. The dining-table is perfectly placed to make the most of the views or perhaps you would rather relax with a coffee in the two retro armchairs to watch the harbour activity. The sitting-area is gorgeous, a seaside palette of blues and beige with a cosy corner sofa for relaxing in front of the Smart TV after a busy beach day. To the rear of the room the fabulous kitchen awaits with all mod-cons, including a Nespresso coffee machine and a wine fridge to keep your Sauvignon at the perfect temperature. Three stools perch along the breakfast-bar so guests can chat whilst dinner is prepared. The ground floor is also home to a handy boot-room with washing machine and tumble-drier, plus there is a shower-room too which is great for rinsing down after a day on the beach.
Upstairs on the first floor you will find three beautifully styled bedrooms all decorated in fresh pastel shades of white and blue to match the seascape. Bedroom one is idyllic, with a king-size bed dressed in beautiful linens and an en suite shower-room. Windows look out over the water to the headland and beyond, simply the most magical of scenes. Bedroom two also has a king-size bed and a Smart TV if, of course, you can take your eyes away from the view! Bedroom three is home to twin beds, ideal for either adults or children and there is a family bathroom on this floor, perfect for a long soak after a busy day exploring.
Outside, the spacious patio has breathtaking views across the bay. You can watch the boats bob on the water and the passenger ferry ply the waters to and from Falmouth; from dawn until dusk there is always something interesting to see. On the patio you will find relaxing chairs in addition to a large dining-table for al fresco dining in the Cornish sunshine, bliss! Summers has everything you will need for the holiday of your dreams.
You may decide to have a car-free holiday in St Mawes as you will discover a great selection of cafes, restaurants and shops a short stroll away. The deli is fabulous, serving excellent freshly brewed coffee and cakes throughout the day. For a special treat head to Tresanton, designed by Olga Polizzi and a rather exclusive place to dine. Or, for the easiest of dinners, sit on the harbour wall and enjoy the freshest fish and chips out of the paper watching the water world go by! Children and adults will enjoy spending time on one of several sandy beaches or exploring the many coves and inlets nearby on a paddle board or kayak which can be hired from the harbour.
The seasonal ferry service runs regularly from the harbourside taking passengers to the eclectic maritime town of Falmouth with an excellent museum and vast selection of independent shops; you may even see a pod of dolphins en route across the Carrick Roads. There is also a smaller ferry which runs to lesser-known places such as Place Manor, perfect for peace and tranquility and a great place to enjoy coastal footpaths.
If you do explore further afield, head to one of many beautiful gardens such as Trelissick, Durgan or Trebah or the excellent Eden Project. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are stunning, discovered and renovated over 30 years ago, a walk around here will be one to remember.
However you plan to spend your blissful holiday, Summers is the perfect holiday home for everyone throughout the seasons.
