The ground floor is a fabulous open plan living space, furnished in a palette of soft blue and grey hues to match the seaside location. Cosy sofas invite you to relax in front of the Smart TV and a warming wood-burner to keep you cosy throughout the year. The dining-table sits in front of bi-fold doors, giving a panoramic view of the delightful garden towards Gerrans Bay and Gull Rock. The chef in the party will delight in spending time in the beautifully designed kitchen with statement lighting, whilst guests perch at the breakfast-bar and supervise. With fabulous beaches, miles of stunning walks, a charming village and good selection of eateries and shops, Portscatho has all the ingredients for the perfect holiday. Access to the coast path is just down the road, a mere hop, skip and a jump away. Turn left to head towards Porthcurnick beach and the renowned Hidden Hut where you can feast on the freshest of local produce sitting side by side on wooden benches overlooking the beach or turn right to the village centre. Head to Tatams overlooking the bay for freshly baked pastries and excellent coffee and Tavola for authentic Italian fayre, ideal for a takeaway pizza.
You may decide to stay local on holiday but if you do decide to take the car out, head to St Mawes, a vibrant harbourside village where you can choose anything from fine dining to fish and chips out of the paper on the seawall. Water sports lovers will enjoy kayaking and paddle boarding in the calm harbour waters or exploring the many hidden coves and inlets, or perhaps take the seasonal passenger ferry over the Carrick Roads and explore the maritime town of Falmouth with an array of eclectic shops and a fascinating museum.
