Beautifully designed to offer contemporary living at its best, The Wickets is a fabulous holiday abode, ideally situated at the head of a peaceful cul-de-sac and just a short walk from the centre of the charming village of Portscatho on the Roseland peninsula. All on one level, The Wickets has been beautifully designed with an eye for detail. With sea views from the front elevation and a secluded rear patio you may never wish to leave this peaceful haven. If you do head out exploring, Portscatho and the coast path are just moments away and the delights of the Roseland peninsula are just waiting to be discovered.

The open plan living space has been cleverly designed and beautifully furnished in muted grey shades. The sitting-area to the front has two cosy sofas and a Smart TV, a great place to enjoy a movie after a busy beach day. The kitchen is super sleek, guests can perch on a breakfast-bar stool to chat with the chef and there's a separate dining-table for sociable meals. A handy utility-room leads off the kitchen, home to a freezer, washing machine and drier.

The two bedrooms are a delight, both prettily furnished with luxury linens for a peaceful night's sleep. Bedroom one has an en suite shower-room and bedroom two has an en suite bathroom so no queuing here!

Step outside and you will find a secluded patio at the rear, surrounded by shrubs and trees. There's a rotary drier which may come in handy for damp beach towels and wetsuits. The front garden is a delight where you can sit enjoying the sea view from dawn until dusk. The garden is fenced but please keep an eye on your four-legged friends as escapologists always find a way. From its elevated position, The Wickets is both peaceful and has easy access to the village, beaches and coast path, the perfect combination.

The Roseland peninsula is a great place for a holiday and The Wickets is the perfect base for your Cornish holiday. A hop, skip and a jump away the centre of Portscatho has all you need including a good variety of eateries and shops. Visit Tatams overlooking the seawall for freshly brewed coffee and pastries, a great start to the day, or give the chef a night off and try Tavola an Italian bar and takeaway, ideal for lunch or dinner. The coast path is literally a five minute walk away and walkers will love the miles of stunning views, hidden coves and fishing villages just waiting to be discovered. The Hidden Hut can be found on the path a short stroll away, overlooking Porthcurnick beach, where guests sit side by side on wooden benches and dine on the freshest of local produce.

If you do decide to take the car, head over to the vibrant village of St Mawes where paddle boarders and kayakers can enjoy the sheltered harbour, coves and inlets. Diners can choose between fish and chips eaten from the paper on the seawall to fine dining and everything in-between. Climb the hill to St Mawes Castle to see the four-storey artillery fort with stunning views over the Carrick Roads and beyond or perhaps pick up the seasonal passenger ferry for a day out in the eclectic maritime town of Falmouth.

Further afield, the mighty biomes of the Eden Project make for a great day out for all the family whatever the weather or try The Lost Gardens of Heligan, derelict and overgrown since WWI, discovered over 30 years ago and now returned to their former glory. However you plan to spend your dreamy holiday time, The Wickets is the ideal base to explore the Roseland and beyond.
