If you love nature, the glorious sound of birdsong and a peaceful rural location with infinite night skies and distant sea views then we have found the perfect break for you. Tucked at the end of a woodland track, with the most stunning views of the glorious Cornish countryside out to the sea in the distance, Foxy Loxy has clifftop walks, beaches and the waterside towns and villages of the Cornish south coast all nearby.

From the minute you arrive, you will switch off from the pressures of daily life and reconnect with the wonderful world all around us, with that view taking centre stage. You'll waste hours just looking at it - whilst lounging in the king-size bed, soaking in the hot tub, toasting marshmallows over the fire-pit, or lazing on your deck - thankfully you can't escape it.

Soft tones, organic materials and a comfy sofa create a light, natural feel that is both cosy and spacious with the large windows bringing the outdoors and indoors together, for an experience of total relaxation. A stylish shower-room and modern kitchen provide all the essentials and the wood-burner makes the open plan living-area cosy in the cooler months.

Close to the pretty village of Lanlivery; the path from your retreat takes you into the village with its lovely pub. Foxy Loxy is one of a pair of hideaways in this special setting, within 30 acres of woodland, with Squirrel Nutkin tucked further down under the trees - ideal if you have friends who want to join you but also providing your own level of privacy. Well, apart from the odd rabbit, deer or squirrel that might choose to stroll by (who knows, you may even spot Chicken Licken or Henny Penny too!).

If you are seeking more adventures in the great outdoors, this beautiful part of Cornwall has it by the bucketful. Need a good leg stretch? Head to the coast to tackle the popular circular Hall Walk around fashionable Fowey, Polruan and Bodinnick which also includes two ferry rides - what fun! Or, for a complete change of scenery, explore the wide open landscapes of Bodmin Moor perhaps stopping off at a moorland pub to refuel along the way.

For some fun messing about on the water, join a boat trip from Fowey, kayak up the river to Lerryn or try your hand at windsurfing at Polkerris. The Lost Gardens of Heligan and Hidden Valley Gardens will delight the green fingered amongst you and the historic harbour at Charlestown with its famous old ships will be familiar to any Poldark fan.

The grand house, gardens and parkland at Lanhydrock (National Trust) are close by and they also have a network of cycling trails for those who prefer pedal power. For practicalities, you can stock up on provisions at the local town of Lostwithiel which also has a selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants - well do you really want to cook when you are on holiday?

The owners run a boarding cattery, and if you would like some more details, please do not hesitate to contact our booking office.
