In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty just a mile from Dartmoor, The Wool Shed is a single-storey property found in Lower Chaddlehanger. Furnished and decorated in a contemporary and very attractive style, this is a particularly lovely, warm and comfortable property whatever the time of year, ideal just for a couple to relax and unwind.

The Owner tries to think of everything; home-cooked meals can be ordered in advance, and guests can even choose from a pillow menu depending on their preference! Across from Medlar Cottage (2595) and next door to The Hay Barn (2597), The Wool Shed has its own sitting-out area at the top of the courtyard.

For eating out and shopping, nearby Tavistock has good restaurants, shops and a Pannier market. You can also explore nearby Dartmoor, or take advantage of being so close to the Cornish border and venture further west to some of the gorgeous coastal walks, try out some renowned eateries along the coast or visit attractions such as the Eden Project or The Lost Gardens of Heligan.

There is plenty to do in the area such as riding, trekking, kayaking on the River Tamar or exploring some of the renowned stately homes in the area now run by the National Trust – Cothele, Lanhydrock, Buckland Abbey and Castle Drogo to name but a few.
