Mount Pleasant Lodge is set in picturesque grounds in east Devon’s Blackdown Hills – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty above Honiton and an easy drive from the Jurassic Coast. Beautifully presented and exceptionally spacious, with a welcoming wood-burner and WiFi access, this is definitely a place for all seasons. There is a fabulous kitchen/dining-room overlooking the gardens, steps up to the sitting-room, with a further glazed door to the garden, and two double bedrooms are beyond. Offering complete privacy, the semi-detached accommodation is light and contemporary, looking out over the Owners’ extensive grounds including wildlife ponds, wildflower marsh areas and ancient woodlands – all for you to enjoy, as well as having your own secluded enclosed patio-area. Flexible changeover days are available.
This area is excellent walking country, and there is plenty to explore along country lanes and the network of footpaths that link the hamlets and villages nearby. Just a short drive away, the renowned Ashill Inn offers real ales, excellent food and a friendly atmosphere, whilst having the added bonus of being dog-friendly too. For the adventurous try a session at the local gliding club just down the road – you will certainly get some panoramic views of the hills that way! The stunning Jurassic Coast is a very easy drive – you can join it at regency Sidmouth just the other side of Honiton, but don't miss Budleigh Salterton, Beer and Branscombe.
