KingTucked away in the charming village of Lelant, just moments from the golden beaches and coastal paths of St Ives Bay, this beautifully presented home offers comfort, space and style.
Step inside to a modern open plan kitchen and dining-area thoughtfully equipped with sleek appliances and everything you need for relaxed family meals or entertaining friends. The heart of the home is a light and airy sitting-room where large patio doors open onto a spacious decking area, perfect for soaking up the Cornish sunshine, firing up the barbecue or relaxing with a glass of wine before eating al fresco with the family.
After a day at the beach rinse off the sand under the outdoor shower before heading indoors to unwind. Upstairs on the first floor, Driftwood has three bedrooms, one which includes a dressing area and en suite shower-room. Two addition double bedrooms share a stylish family shower-room.
The second floor leads into a cosy playroom (mind your head on entering) which provides a great breakout space for children.
A useful utility-room on the ground floor has direct access to a small courtyard with a bistro table for those wanting a quiet spot for morning coffee.
With private parking directly in front of the house and welcoming a canine companion, Driftwood is just short stroll to beaches and a great local pub. Lelant has many scenic walks and is an excellent base to explore West Cornwall and all it has to offer.
Porth Kidney Sands is a beautiful stretch of sandy beach, is dog-friendly year-round and within walking distance of Driftwood. Likewise, the oldest golf course in Cornwall, West Cornwall Golf Club, is also close by - a round of golf here will be challenging due to the stunning views over St Ives Bay across to Hayle Towans that are sure to distract your putt. You can also board the little branch line train to St Ives, taking in more of those amazing views as you chug along. Choo-choo.
Nearby Carbis Bay is accessible by car or train and has one of the best beaches in the area, pack a picnic and head out for the day. Continue along the coastline by foot and explore the fishing village of St Ives, renowned for its turquoise waters and natural light that draws so many artists to the area. Here you will find the Tate Modern Gallery and many local artists showcasing their talents.
Take a day trip out to Marazion and cross the causeway to St Michael' Mount, walk the promenade in Penzance and don't forget to visit Newlyn and its historic fishing harbour to buy the catch of the day, before heading back home and cook up a feast for the family.
