We loved our stay at the Loft, it was clean, cosy and had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. The location was beautiful and the view from the window was incredible. The dedicated parking spot was the icing on the cake!

We've had a wonderful week staying in this beautifully renovated cottage in Coverack. We were 'wowed' as soon as we opened the front door! The decor and furnisings are of a very high standard and the cottage has been very well maintained. Everything you could wish for has been supplied. The voucher for coffee and cake at the nearby cafe was very much appreciated. We were blown away by the fantastic sea views and spent many happy hours sitting in the window seat watching the sea, swimmers and the seals.

We returned home from 'The Loft' yesterday, and rebooked for another stay today. Do I need to say more?! We've been visiting Coverack regularly for years but never stayed in 'The Loft' before. What a total treat this thatched cottage is. From the decor to the views - just wonderful. On arrival, we were so impressed at the facilities in the cottage, and the spotless cleanliness offered. It's true that the cost for two person occupancy is a tad higher than many, but I guess you pay for quality! The location is wonderful, being slap bang in the middle of this fabulous village and affords very easy access to the 'Paris' pub and the other eateries open during peak months while the 'reverse accommodation' certainly makes best use of the stunning views across the bay too. Parking space is at a premium in Coverack, particularly during high season, so a personal parking space is worth it's weight in gold. We're already looking forward to our return!

The location of The Loft was perfect. The views were amazing and the parking space completed a perfect package, with a medium size car we managed to use folding chairs to sit and read and take in the view. The window seat is perfect. The shop next door was wonderful and the staff were friendly and helpful. The Lifeboat Restaurant/ Fish & Chips take away was brilliant. We enjoyed meals in the Paris Hotel which was so convenient with amazing views across the bay. The staff here were also very welcoming. The harbour was a great spot to enjoy the sunshine especially with an ice cream from the Loft coffee shop. The weather was brilliant so we didn't venture far but would recommend Kynance Cove , Marazion and Roskilly's Farm and Ice Cream

Our week at the loft was wonderful. The view was phenomenal, and the lovely little cottage so cosy. And the shower! Wow! We will definitely return, we loved it!

This property is “cosy” but affords some of best sea views in a lovely unspoiled location. A well equipped shop next door, a pub 100 yds away and doorstep parking complete the package. Great walks direct from the property. This is our third visit and we will be back!

Sounds like the perfect recipe for a memorable holiday! We're so pleased you enjoyed The Loft and can't wait to welcome you back on your next visit. Julie, Customer Support

The cottage is the right size for couples, in an excellent position for shops cafés and the pub. It has it's own parking space and the view is beautiful.

We had a lovely week af The Loft, a cosy ottage for two with amazing seaviews and set in a beautiful village with fabulous amenities. The shop next door is five star and there are numerous places to eat. Although Coverack has a large number of holiday lets it still retains a strong local community. The cottage has recently been renovated and provides modern well equipped and attractive accommodation . The private parking space is such a bonus too as village centre parking is very difficult. The lack of a garden is not a problem as both the harbour and beach are a five minute walk away. Sitting on the harbour wall in the sunshine is a delight and the bay has a good stretch of sand when the tide is out. We loved Coverack and The Loft and I am sure we will be back.

Coverack is a lovely location for a holiday - the shop, the cakes at the loft (thank you for the voucher), the harbour activity, the sculpture park, the beach - all great!

A beautiful property in a stunning location. Coverack is a charming harbourside village and we can't wait to return to The Loft.

Beautiful, comfortable and idyllic. Plus Coverack couldn’t be a better place to stay, welcoming and friendly – the shop next door was like a tempting pantry cupboard, the Loft cafe served excellent coffee, cake and ice cream, the pub had the best views over the ocean and we had the best fish and chips from The Lifeboat House we have ever eaten – so good we ate them twice! The walks around the cottage were so good and so accessible that we only used the car once, and finding the sculpture park on the way back from Lankidden Cove was a real treat. We will be back!

This was our second visit to the cottage and the upgrade to the interior during the 2021/22 winter made the cottage even more enjoyable than before. It has everything you need and the view of the bay from the dining table is unequalled. The parking space is a bonus and the village shop is literally next door. I expect that we will be back. Freda and Malcolm Allsop

The Loft is an amazing place. Box fresh decor, a lot of thought has gone into this property. Views to die for at the breakfast table . We did not want to come home !.

Cheers . David and Elaine.

Best holiday cottage we have stayed in

The Cottage location is perfect with parking space & lovely views.

What a special little cottage, just the right size for two. The view from the kitchen table was absolutely great. With how things are with Covid we had a few takeaways from The Paris Hotel or The Lifeboat, could not have been better eating it in your own accommodation watching the boats and water sports on the sea. Perfect location in Coverack with a added bonus of a car parking space. Truly relaxing place.

Wonderful location . Perfect for a couple .

On arrival when we opened the door the view was amazing. The cottage was well equipped and clean. The welcome pack was very thoughtful including the voucher for the pasties which we enjoyed. The location was handy for all amenities and the parking space was a great asset. The only down side for us was the lack of an outside seating space.

A little gem, location perfect, we had a very enjoyable stay and look forward to returning.

Charming small thatched cottage which is perfectly situated with stunning sea views and contained everything we required. It is close to the beach, harbour, shop, pub and coastal path. Private car parking space an added bonus.

Beautiful location wonderful waking up to sea views . Cottage had everything you need . Lovely walks .would love to go back .

The views from the cottage were magical. Having a shop next door which had as much charm as the cottage and free pastries from a neighbour which were “proper Cornish” gave an individuallity to the experience.

We have stayed in Coverack a number of times but this spot for a couple is absolutely perfect - wonderful views, close to amenities and right on the walking routes - and with car parking on tap. Excellent!

a place you will want to return to

Wonderful views across the bay, never got tired of looking out the window watching the sea, simply stunning.

Great place to stay for a couple, sea view and well equipped.

Would have been 5 stars but for the shower and the wifi, or rather poor wifi.

Thanks for reviewing The Loft. We do mention within the description that the WiFi is suitable for basic web browsing and emails but not for streaming or downloading as it's just not possible in some areas at present to install super-fast broadband. You can filter for properties on our website which do offer super-fast broadband if this is important or give us a call and we'll happily discuss. The shower cubicle houses a standard shower not a power shower as again due to the location this may not be possible but we'll certainly pass on your feedback. Bryony, Customer Support

Excellent cottage in a fabulous location with good local amenities. Parking was helpful. If you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of real life, then come here during the winter months.

The Loft has everything needed for your holiday , it was always warm & comfortable especially as we went in February. A perfect cottage to just relax and enjoy the beautiful sea view , we enjoyed our week staying in this lovely little cottage in our favourite part of Cornwall , and we appreciated the friendly welcome gifts. We also found Classic cottages very easy to book with and all the staff to be more than helpful and very friendly , a lovely company making the booking process easy and enjoyable Many thanks

I'd like to thank the owners for the extras that were there on our arrival. It was a lovely gesture. We had a lovely time in the cottage. I'd stay again. I could not find fault in this accommodation. And wish the new owners every bit of success with their lovely cottage.

Great location Wonderful view.

Great location for this small cottage with great views out to sea would definitely book again

Another fabulous fortnight in this lovely little cottage - weather was brilliant and the view is to die for. Already booked again for next year :-)

Great cottage for two people with superb views and well equipped, shop and pub just down the road means that it is in a prefect location. TV and games if you have a wet day plus a parking place which is rare in Coverack.

Lovely, quaint, quirky cottage, in a beautiful setting, with stunning view across the bay. Coverack is a lovely base for exploring the "Lizard". There is a nice pub a few minutes walk from the Loft with good food and well kept beers. The local shop is handy being right next door, which stocks all that you will need during the duration of your stay. We came away after a weeks stay feeling relaxed and recharged. Andy & Dee Smith

A lovely positioned cottage with a glorious view from the dining room. I hope the new owners will soon be able to bring it up to its previous good standard.

This cottage is a one off. we were very sorry to leave. an amazing place. Locals like Elizabeth {pasties} Ian {Paris pub} next door store/news agent. very friendly, made the holiday.

Lovely location, poorly equipped and facilities very basic.

Thanks for your review of The Loft and we're delighted that you enjoyed the wonderful location - we're grateful for your comments regarding the equipment and have forwarded to the housekeeper and owner for their attention. We're sorry for any deficiencies but thanks so much for letting us know. Bryony, Customer Support

We had a very enjoyable stay in a comfortable cottage with incredible views.

Cosy and charming little cottage. Excellent location with splendid views of the bay and coastline.

My husband re-rigged the sails on the yacht in the window. He makes and sails model yachts and he said he couldn’t live with it for a whole week in the state it was. The sails had been set incorrectly, perhaps somebody had broken them at some point and set them as they thought, anyway it now looks right.

Reply from Classic Cottages

Thanks so much for returning the yacht back to its former glory! We hope you had a nice stay overall. Tamsin, Customer Support

Be aware there is absolutely no mobile connectivity whatsoever

Reply from Classic Cottages

Thanks for your review. Unfortunately as you found mobile reception can be a little intermittent in some West Country locations depending on the individual network provider. Our best advise is to check the network coverage maps for your provider before your holiday - details of this can also be found on our website. Bryony, Customer Support

Fantastic location. Lovely view. Safe beach for swimming. Lots of cafés and local places to eat. Great walking scenery.

The cottage is perfect, the service and equipment provided whilst there is not. Simple things to make guests feel welcome go a long way towards an overall holiday experience and it was a shame that I was disappointed in this area. I would not book with you again based on this which is a shame as I loved the place and feel a few simple touches and a better response to my (fairly basic) requests whilst there would have changed the way I feel.

Reply from Classic Cottages

Whilst we're delighted that you loved the cottage, we were very sorry to see that you were less happy about your interactions with the housekeeping team. It's not always possible to arrange a late check out when we have new guests arriving but can only apologise if the delivery of that message could have been improved. All inventory items should have been in the cottage, we're grateful that you pointed out the deficiencies in the glassware and crockery so these can be topped up. Tanya, Customer Support

A bijou cottage ideal for a couple. Welcoming touches and a lovely village to stay in. Fully recommend.

Lovely little cottage in a beautiful location, we love it here and have already booked again for next year :-)

Excellent location, wonderful views, very good local amenities, parking space a bonus. We go back year after year.

Delightful little cottage with beautiful sea views across the harbour

Ideal for 2. Superb location.

Fabulous location with stunning sea views. Saw Seals, Gannets and other sea birds from lounge window. Also a Rock Pipit on the wall outside.

This is a lovely cottage and has a lovely outlook. Very relaxing in a very friendly village. It is central for visiting quite a lot of places. We would like to come back.

The Loft was very comfortable, great location and most of all fantastic views.

Excellent base from which to explore the Lizard Peninsula.

Fantastic location, cosy cottage in unspoilt Coverack.

Lovely little cottage in such a beautiful location. We just love it here, everything you need is nearby and the people are just so friendly. We have booked again for next year already! :-)

The area is wonderful, the views are great and amenities are all close at hand. Having to walk 3 yards for a paper is a bonus. The shop next door is well stocked and the owners are extremely pleasant and helpful.

Unbeatable position

Could do better in other aspects.

We're delighted that you enjoyed the location and it was lovely to meet you during your stay. We were really sorry about the leak you experienced and can confirm that this has been investigated and attended to. Tanya, Customer Support

We have stayed here two years running and love this quirky little cottage. The views are wonderful and the cottage is close to all village amenities. A big plus is the parking space right next to the cottage.

First time we have used Classic Cottages and we'll definitely be back. The Loft is a wonderful bolt hole in an idyllic village. The world slows down as you sit looking over the bay. If you need a rest, this is the place.

A charming, comfortable cottage with a sea view that is breathtaking. Plenty of local amenities and good selection of restaurants and food outlets.

Excellent views, good amenities, excellent shop with extremely friendly staff. Although we visited many places we had to agree Coverack was one of the best.

Any of my comments

I would be happy for you to publish any of my comments on your Cottage Review page.

Delightful cottage with fabulous views. A pleasure to come 'home' to each afternoon. It was all you could wish for.

A warm, comfortable property with spectacular views and a parking space next to it. Wonderful.

Beautiful location, lovely cottage. The views are magnificent!

Excellent one double bed cottage in main street of Coverack overlooking the bay (sea). What more could you want!

Lovely little cottage in great location

The Loft is a delightful cottage in a superb setting and the views across Coverack are stunning. However, if the attention paid to the kitchen (which is very good indeed) is extended throughout the cottage, then it would be a first class facility.

Reply from Classic Cottages

Thank you so much for your comments about The Loft. The kitchen has recently been remodelled and refurbished (we're glad you liked it), and we know that the Owner is keen to sympathetically refresh other areas of the cottage on a rolling basis, so will be very grateful for your feedback. As you say, the views are breathtaking and we're glad that you had the opportunity to enjoy them. Tanya, Customer Support

Lovely quaint little property with a fabulous view in a fantastic area.

We love Coverack and 'The Loft' is a perfect cottage with a fantastic sea view and all the comfort you need.

Beautiful cottage with added touches of hand picked flowers and fresh milk in the fridge. Absolute beautiful location ( we watched a seal on 2 days from the window)and most definitely be going there again.

If you want a quiet holiday in a beautiful location then this comfortable thatched cottage is for you!

this cottage is so cute a lovely romantic place to stay. the village of coverack is very welcoming with the pub just a short stroll, and the lady in the cottage across the road makes fantastic pasties and cakes

A very charming and well managed property without being over the top - we loved being there and will definitely hope to return! The Classic Cottages team was a pleasure to deal with -they were very helpful and attentive . Thank you!

The loft was perfect in all aspects ,ie location, views, very comfortable indeed.

The Loft is a lovely place to stay. The Fat Mackerel (next door) is great for coffee and breakfast, and the Paris Hotel is good for eating at night. Add to this Roskilly's ice cream at Archie's Loft (closed out of season), and the Lifeboat Restaurant (which, sadly, is also closed until Easter) and your holiday is guaranteed to be fantastic. We don't spend our entire holiday eating and drinking ! - we've had some wonderful walks over the years, but this week was particularly bad weatherwise, so we appreciated all the facilities on hand.

A lovely cottage in the heart of coverack with beautiful views across the bay

Kitchen extremely dirty, but a great location. Then eat at the restaurants...

Reply from Classic Cottages

Thanks for your review of The Loft. We're really sorry that you found the kitchen dirty. We visited the cottage recently with the Owner, and did point out a couple of areas for improvement. We were happy with the general cleanliness, although the kitchen units are of a more traditional design which has now dated a little. The Owner's longer term plans are to replace the kitchen in the next couple of years; due to the limited space available, it needs to be a bespoke handmade design and he's currently looking at options which will fit well with the cottage ambience. Tanya, Customer Support

**UPDATE - 2015 SEASON - The kitchen-area has been entirely re-modelled and replaced with a new bespoke designed kitchen.

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed in this cottage, with the few exceptions stated in our Review Guidelines.
