Ellenhall is a special place - beautifully positioned and surrounded by nature (the acers were just changing colour and looked magnificent). The cottage is cosy and very well equipped so we were comfortable and looked forward to returning after a day’s exploring. A lovely spacious cottahe set in beautiful woodland down a quiet lane. Equipped with everything one could want, with bags of lovely hot water. Lovely garden mix of colour and natural wildness - and what a thoughtful touch to supply bird food for the numerous bird feeders outside the kitchen window! Lots of interesting reading, specially on wildlife and trees. Only drawback was the lack of light suitable for reading, specially in the snug. ...

We had a wonderful stay at Ellenhall. Our party was 5 adults and our dogs. The property exceeded our expectations, the surroundings were just beautiful and the interior was even better than the pictures. The rooms were lovely, well docorated and extremely comfortable. The kitchen is superb, lots of equipment and super cooking and eating facilities. The bedrooms were delightful, with plenty of room and really comfy beds and lovely crisp linen. The only thing we could have had more of was clothes hanging facilities, but that was a very minor thing. We all had a wonderful stay at Ellenhall, and the dogs had a wonderful time too exploring the lovely garden and meadow opposite. We would highly recommend a stay at Ellenhall and hope to come back for another lovely stay. ...
