The kitchen did not have any electric appliances for cooking such as a food mixer, blender, whisk etc. cooking was therefore quite limiting and no big saucepans to accommodate cooking for big groups. It was hard to get someone out to look at the doors from bedrooms that needed to be opened because of heat - they had clearly not been opened for some time. The housekeeping number we called were not helpful and said the doors were nothing to do with them - this was disappointing as we were asking simply how to open them which they surely must do when they go in to clean! The pillows did not have protectors on and so did not smell very nice as all and the towels also did not smell fresh and recently laundered. The master bedroom I was in did not have a full length mirror or a wardrobe I could hang dresses in - only just the height to hang a short jumper. I would expect these things as standard from a 5 star property. The heating was on in the house when we arrived - in was at 30 degrees in the house! This was our one family holiday of the year and we had invested so much in it. The location was excellent and the house was very big. ...
