Sunny Sands

We were a group of 6- 5 adults and a 4 yr old. The property is one of the best we have stayed in. It is very well looked after. There is a lovely lounge with a log burner and comfy settees The kitchen is very well equipped, with a really good sized fridge freezer ( further freezer in garage) a dining table and a range type cooker with double ovens. The garden has a gate that leads to a wonderful beach - a short walk, and also a dog walking field. There is a wet room that leads into the garage and accessed from the garden, which is really useful for dogs and coming in with wellies from the beach. There is also parking for four cars There are five bedrooms ( one is a single) all decent size. The only gripe we have is that the main bedroom was cold despite using two portable heaters, and two people couldn’t use the showers at the same time- but we found the boost button on the water tank so we then had enough hot water for us all to shower. Also it would have been nice to have had some logs to get us started on the wood burner ( we stayed 27th Dec for a week- it was cold!) The pub ‘The Thatch’ is a short walk away and is really good. We had Sunday lunch and a cream tea. We stayed over the New Year and it was quite quiet- I imagine Croyde would get very busy in the summer. I can highly recommend Sunny Sands in Croyde. It is in a fantastic location for the beach, the village of Croyde, which has an excellent well stocked Post Office/General Store and for those who enjoy walking. The property is extremely comfortable and well laid out. ...
