It’s a beautifully designed country cottage which , every though small , tricks you into wanting to stay in and relax ( shout out to the most comfortable beds ever !) . The garden and hot tub are a delight and the dogs loved the garden which is bigger than you would expect . It’s very close to Chipping Norton and Soho house so in the most perfect area too . I found a stunning dog walk next to Steeple Barton’s church that is one of the most scenic I’ve been on which is a few minutes away by car . ...

We loved our stay at this cosy cottage. The cottage was well equipped and had some lovely little touches. The hot tub is a great selling point! We loved it and we were grateful it was easy to use and ready to go for us. The cottage is in a great location around 15-20 minutes drive to nearby Chipping Norton, we also liked that the cottage had off the road parking. One small but very useful thing was the garden was secure which was reassuring as dog owners. The cottage was lovely and we would definitely recommend. ...

A well appointed and cozy cottage. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the stove in the sitting room. Small = cozy and quaint when it is well done. While there is some road noise as mentioned in the description, the location near many of the best Cotswold villages and pubs more than made up for it. We hope to return....

We had a lovely short stay at 2, Turnpike Cottages. The cottage was very clean, welcoming and had everything needed for a comfortable relaxing holiday. The hot tub was especially welcome after a full day sightseeing. It is in a great location with Blenheim and Oxford only a short drive away. We would certainly love to visit again....

The cottage has been beautifully renovated and furnished. We stayed over Christmas and it was even decorated for the holidays, including a Christmas tree. The kitchen is perfectly equipped, and there's even a wine fridge! The hot tub is also fantastic. We were initially skeptical about the gas fireplace, but it worked wonderfully and was very cozy. We didn't find the road noisy; no cars drove by at night, and it wasn't bothersome during the day. The mattresses are perfect! However, both double beds are only 140cm wide, which I had overlooked – that's too narrow for us. It was okay for the four nights, but 160cm would be better, and there would have been enough space for that in one of the bedrooms. Upon arrival, there were dead flies on the floor in both bedrooms, which was odd. Unfortunately, there was no vacuum cleaner; otherwise, we would have liked to vacuum occasionally, especially since we and our dog tracked in a lot of leaves and dirt. In summary, it's a very pretty cottage and perfect for two adults and a dog with lots of luggage, or for two couples with minimal luggage....
