Low shaw farmhouse is located in a very beautiful and quiet place in the Yorkshire Dales. The Green Dragon Inn is only a short stroll away trough the sheep fields and Hawes offers other Pubs and enough Shops to find everything you need for your stay. We loved the peacefulness and the sheep and lambs around the house. We slept deeply and very well (maybe because of the uncountable sheep ;-)). We loved sitting in front of the house, drinking coffee and enjoying the warming sun on our faces. There is enough room in the house for everyone, the sofas and armchairs were cosy to read books or watch the fire in the fireplace. Right from the doorstep, you can go for endless walks, discover waterfalls, mystic forests and wild animals (i.e. cute rabbits). The Pubs around offer a warm welcome and delicious food and great ales. Be aware of the age of the house. The drains are old and you have to wait some minutes until the water flows. It would be great if the owners made a renovation of the kitchen, for it was a bit grubby and dirty. With a new, clean kitchen and new washbasins in the bathrooms, it would be a gem in the wonderful Yorkshire Dales. ...

Such beautiful surroundings . The house was stunning , and perfect for what we needed. During the days we spent the time exploring surrounding areas , and hiking up to the high peaks . Evenings we spent playing board games round the lovely big table , and nights we were outside looking and listening for the wildlife . I would highly recommend Low Shaw Farmhouse. ...

Brilliant holiday letting company. Lots of communication at various points of time during the booking and whilst away, which was most helpful. The farmhouse stands beautifully overlooking Hawes. If like us you are travelling with elderly parents there is a separate lounge (for quiet reading) and stairs leading to a double bedroom, twin bedroom and a bathroom. So all nice and peaceful for them once upstairs everything is on one level. In the centre of the house is a large farmhouse kitchen with a big walk in pantry/ utility room. There is also a good size porch with seating to put your shoes under, to sit on to put shoes on and hooks for coats etc etc and a great stable door. The other side of the kitchen is a hall leading off to another large lounge with tv. Also off the hall is another staircase, half way up dog leg stairs is a big bathroom and further up the stairs a quad room and another big double bedroom. Lovely country garden with cottage garden style planting. Medium fencing with a gate to keep your dogs safely inside. ...
