It was quite a special experience to stay at Fron Haul. To learn about the cottage and surrounding landscape added to our holiday and it felt like a privilege to stay somewhere so cared for.

We had an absolutely wonderful 4 weeks stay at this delightful cottage. Fabulous host and beautifully appointed. A delight to stay in the real Welsh countryside.

We had a wonderful March stay at Fron Haul, which is beautifully furnished. We really appreciated the welcome selection of tea, milk and biscuits, and the excellent welcome pack where we learnt about the fascinating history of the cottage! The gardens were beautiful, full of daffs, primroses, and birdsong, and plenty of places to sit and enjoy, even in March! We got gorgeous sunsets most evenings and made good use of the log burner. The cottage is very well equipped and with a modern bathroom. We enjoyed the digital detox but also found there was good 4G signal at the cottage when needed! A great base for exploring the Preseli hills and the coast. We hope to return!...

We have immersed ourselves in the history, the landscape and the unique charm of "Fron Haul". Set in a pretty garden and in tranquil surroundings and with a wealth of interesting books and guides left by the owner, we could have been quite content just to remain in the cottage or sit in the studio or in the arbour by the pond! However, there is much to see nearby -ancient burial sites, an iron-age village, castles, coastal towns, clifftop walks and more! A step back in time but with every comfort provided for in this delightful cottage....

We enjoyed our stay at Fron Haul. The cottage has a fascinating history of the Morgan Family and the artists who visited in the 1960s. In fact, a friend who lives locally whom we visited, has a link with one of the artists - Terry Frost, a renowned abstract artist. He was her tutor at art college. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped to a high standard. The furnishings in the cottage are an eclectic and comfortable mix of vintage, rural antique and contemporary furniture. In the Parlour, on the mantlepiece over the fireplace, there is a poignant reminder of one of the Morgan family members - a hand crafted slate ink stand dating from 1917 - its history is provided and is fascinating. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival by the owner as it was Easter and she had very thoughtfully provided us with a gift of Easter eggs and a welcoming tea tray! We did like that personal touch. The cottage is remote but that did not dampen our sense of enjoyment in being there as the tranquillity and views surrounding it gave us a sense of peace and calm. We would just add that the beams upstairs on the mezzanine floor are a bit low so if one is forgetful there is a possibility of bumping one's head! Newport is not too far away and is well worth a visit. You buy your foodie supplies and firewood from Morrisons or the Nisa Petrol Station in Crymych and the Preseli Hills is worth a visit too. Enjoy your stay!...
