We never have stayed in a holiday cottage which is such exceptional equipped. Especially the kitchen! I love cooking and I found everything what I needed without improvising! The huge double door fridge with a 3 drawer freezer is a highlight! We also loved the most comfortable beds! We highly recommend Briar Lea and hope we can come back again in future. ...

The view from the cottage was very good, constantly changing. The whole area which was new to us was a delight to discover. Great walks from the cottage, nice friendly welcome in all the local food and drink places. The shops were also handy, my favourite being the post office. There are interesting shops and independents like the young Rock Entrepreneurs and their selection of local stones. There is always the hill home but take your time you are on holiday. Top places to visit are; Bempton Cliffs for the sea birds, Puffins in their nesting season is a delight; Mount Grace Priory for a slice of history and unique peak at medieval Monks life. Also if you go to Filey drop into Angela's Tea Room for great local made cakes and jams with your tea. ...
