Miss Skinner March 2025

We had a thoroughly good time in this lovely property: it’s beautifully done, very comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well equipped for any meals in. The conservatory is wonderfully light with relaxing sofas and great views of the surrounding countryside. It feels very private while you are there but the location means it is a quick and easy drive to St Ives and further afield.Recommend The Gannet in Carbis Bay for Sunday lunch and the much smaller Tinners Arms in Zennor for food and drink too. ...

Peaceful location with nice aspect and sunset, safe for our dog to wander around the garden.Good access to both North coast and it’s lovely walks or to the South coast with it’s creeks and gardens.Far more to St.Ives than we were aware of with its main beaches but also Porthminster and Carbis bay with walks along the dunes to Lelant....

Mrs Williamson October 2025

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was peaceful, beautifully decorated and furnished. It was a short driving distance away from the hustle and bustle of St Ives, which made it very relaxing. The Sun room was our favourite room and we loved the views. This place was wonderful for an escape from work and the hustle and bustle of busy lives. Unfortunately on our departure, we realised we did not have a pen between us to leave a message in the Visitors book, which we would have liked to have done. The only negative we had was completely unrelated to the property. On our first time leaving the cottage to walk around the reservoir, an aggressive off lead Dog came running after our on lead cockapoo and attacked and bit him from a pitch where someone was fishing. So this completely put us off walking around the reservoir, which was a shame as it was part of the reason we stayed there. Obviously this can happen anywhere but just to point out to other dog owners. ...

An exceptionally clean and truly delightful cottage with a spacious ground floor area. Wonderful lookout for those who prefer a quiet and remote location. Comfortable beds. A steep staircase which some may find difficult.

Mr Blance December 2024

As mentioned in other reviews the Reservoir Cottage certainly has the WOW factor. All is to a very high standard, it feels homely and comfortable. The surrounding area, including “The Hill” and reservoir give it an idyllic feeling. Sunday lunch in the pub is a must!!! We have been holidaying in Cornwall since 2016 (we live in Holland) and this is by far the best accommodation we’ve had the privilege to stay in. We would certainly recommend the Reservoir Cottage to anybody thinking of staying in the St. Ives. The Blance Family. ...
