The cottage is lovely and owner very helpful. It is warm and comfortable, a wonderful quiet place to stay and very dog friendly (although not possible to let the dog off the lead as there are horses on the property and no secure fenced area around the cottage. The surrounding area is interesting and lots of places to visit - Rye, Kipling's House Batemans, Camber Sands, Battle etc. I would happily go back....

Darjeeling Lodge is a cosy, comfortable base to explore this beautiful and historic area. The lodge is spotlessly clean, well appointed and Hazel was on hand to answer any queries. We especially enjoyed the horses in the neighbouring field and our evening visit from a gorgeous fox. Highly recommended!...

Great little lodge in very quite rural location with woodland walks from the doorstep. Well situated for a number of attractions, especially several castles and gardens, Rye and the coast. Owner most welcoming and helpful.
