Had a lovely stay in this characterful property. Was worried about parking, but even in a sunny half term, there was always a space for our car. Everything we needed was within walking distance. Great communication from considerate owner. Thoroughly recommend it!

Very nice period property in a quiet road in Central Hythe with good local pub close by and good walkable access to the sea and town centre shops and restaurants.

We were a party of four adult family members enjoying a weekend break, Rose Cottage was fabulous. The owner, Leslie, was welcoming and friendly, he has furnished the house beautifully with interesting artwork and curios. He provided a very thoughtful welcome pack, every comfort catered for, especially liked the wood burner which made it cosy on one chilly evening. The beds are comfortable, a superb walk-in shower and very well-equipped kitchen. The weather was warm and sunny, allowing us to enjoy a glass of wine in the afternoon sitting in the lovely walled garden. The location is spot on, right near the beach for walks along the promenade and 5 minute stroll from the Royal Military Canal and Hythe high street. Plenty of eateries nearby, we recommend the Waterfront restaurant (great Sunday roast), the noodle bar and the fish and chip takeaway just across the road. Parking was easy in the side road next to the house, would definitely go back to Rose Cottage again.

We really enjoyed our weekend break at Rose Cottage and found the owner extremely helpful. It is a property with a lot of character and range of interesting decor (not just your typical seaside cottage), but is also equipped with everything you could want, including a wide range of kitchen equipment and shower that the whole family loved. The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the beach and lots of different places to eat around Hythe (although Ivy's was the favourite). There is also a lovely garden to sit in and relax and a great noodle bar next door. We would love to come back for a longer stay.

A really comfortable and large house which has loads of character. The garden is really peaceful given how built up it is around. Plenty to do in the area and very relaxing. Would recommend

A lovely period property with an attractive private garden. The house is ideally situated for walks into the busy town of Hythe with its shops and cafes. The shingle beach with three eateries are also in close proximity. The friendly owner has taken care to furnish the rooms tastefully and in keeping with their early 19th century origins, and he's been thoughtful in providing everything needed for a happy and comfortable stay. We can't wait to return!
