We had such a nice summer week in a typical Sussex country house. Heather, the housekeeper, was so nice and helpful all the time and let us feel at home even if we were not. The house Is well furnished with an ethnic/ African taste. We definitely suggest choosing this cottage in case of visiting Sussex and Kent best sights! ...

The cottage was a barn conversion which had been very sympathetically done. Plenty of living space and although we were just 2, the barn would easily accommodate 4 comfortably. Sofas, beds and living accommodation were very comfortable, kitchen was very well equipped. Lovely garden to sit in. Within easy reach of Brighton, Eastbourne, Hastings, Battle and Rye. Rye Harbour was a great find with a very good pub. The narrow gauge railway running from Dungeness to Hythe made a very good day out. If you are not very mobile, be aware that the shower is over the bath, so may not be very easy to use. The rest of the property was fine. The entry/exit to the driveway is difficult, hence my score of 4 out of 5. On a main road and a bend. A lot of care needs to be taken to enter and exit the driveway. Advice given be owners was to always go left and turn around further down the road if wanting to go in the direction of Rye. Advice we always took....

Our stay at Reysons Farm Barn was very good. The owners gave us a very friendly and helpful welcome. The facilities were good, as advertised. The location is unique: The grounds are beautiful, with a pond and lots of magnificent apple trees bearing fruit. The road is not far away, but – especially at night – you can hardly hear it. From there, we went on trips to various places of interest, all within easy reach. We particularly liked Great Dixter, Scotney Castle, Monk's House and Sissinghurst. But the coast with the Seven Sisters and Hastings were also worth a visit. And Rye is very close by with its winding streets. ...

We really enjoyed our holiday in Reysons barn. The owners were very flexible and accommodating with our last minute booking for the Christmas period. The barn is very spacious and light, with a comfy bed, and was beautifully decorated for Christmas. It was very cosy and romantically lit with all the fairy lights and table lamps turned on ready for our arrival. It is in a very quiet and secure, private location with ample parking with easy access to National Trust properties, country villages, and coastal towns and beaches, including Rye, the nearest sizeable shopping and tourist town, with railway and bus stations. We would definitely return and can recommend this property. ...
