The cottage was a barn conversion which had been very sympathetically done. Plenty of living space and although we were just 2, the barn would easily accommodate 4 comfortably. Sofas, beds and living accommodation were very comfortable, kitchen was very well equipped. Lovely garden to sit in. Within easy reach of Brighton, Eastbourne, Hastings, Battle and Rye. Rye Harbour was a great find with a very good pub. The narrow gauge railway running from Dungeness to Hythe made a very good day out. If you are not very mobile, be aware that the shower is over the bath, so may not be very easy to use. The rest of the property was fine. The entry/exit to the driveway is difficult, hence my score of 4 out of 5. On a main road and a bend. A lot of care needs to be taken to enter and exit the driveway. Advice given be owners was to always go left and turn around further down the road if wanting to go in the direction of Rye. Advice we always took....

We had a lovely stay with our two young children. This is a really special place with great access to the Rye and Hastings areas. The owners were very welcoming and having the friendly dogs around was an added plus :)

Very comfortable barn in a rural setting not far from Rye and other places of interest. On a busy road so you have to watch out for the entrance very carefully. We enjoyed our stay and meeting the friendly owner.

We loved staying at Reysons barn. The barn itself was warm (we had to test the heating as it got chilly when we were staying there-it was piping hot) and very comfortable. I had concerns about the comfort of the beds as we often have issues with sleep quality. However, the mattresses and pillows were wonderfully soft and supportive. Big sofas to lay out on and plenty of seating. On arrival there was a very tasty homemade cake awaiting us which was a lovely surprise. The barn itself is situated next to the orchard (we managed to pick some end of season apples) and the surrounding grounds were very pretty. Geese roam around the very large pond. They were charmingly noisy and not aggressive. They have three incredibly friendly dogs. A Basset Hound and two enormous rescue Great Danes. They were always very excited to see us and would accompany us on a walk around the pond. The hosts were very helpful with advice about the area, and when there was an issue with the electricity, it was quickly remedied. The only thing we weren't so keen on was the entrance of the property which is on a bend on the road. We did get used to it, but initially it felt a bit nerve wracking for us city folk....
