Please be mindful of your dogs when in the garden. The field over the hedge often has cows and horses visiting and the farmer would prefer them to be kept quiet. There is an electric wire in place to protect the livestock and keep them safe.

Wir hatten uns für dieses Haus entschieden, da wir gerne in dieser Ecke von Cornwall Urlaub machen wollten . Die Anfahrt vom Flughafen Newquay war problemlos. Dort angekommen, verspürten wir schon im Haus einen starken Hundegeruch. Bei der Buchung hat uns schon das Schlafzimmer im Dach sehr angesprochen. Wir stiegen hinauf um uns umzusehen. Dort oben hat uns leider ein extremer Hundegeruch empfangen. Hier konnten wir nicht schlafen. Ebenso war das Zimmer mit den Stockbetten aufgrund des Hundegeruches unbewohnbar. Somit mussten wir das leider sehr enge Schlafzimmer im ersten Stock nutzen. Im schönen großen Anbau (Küche/Wohnzimmer) haben wir dann 2 Karten gefunden, auf welchen uns mitteilte wurde, dass wir die genannten Zimmer nicht nutzen konnten. Zum Thema Sauberkeit. Oberflächlich kann man nichts sagen. Leider wurde in den Küchenschränken seit längerem nicht mehr gereinigt, vor allem dort wo die Töpfe und Pfannen standen. Das Blech vom Backofen habe ich selbst geputzt. Ebenso waren im Bereich der Toilettenspülung viele Spinnweben vorhanden. Das Duschbad im Eingangsbereich konnte ich aufgrund des üblen Geruches nicht betreten. Auch hätten wir uns über einen Grill, 2 Liegestühle und einen Fön gefreut. Fernsehempfang gab es leider nur in Englischer Sprache. Auch war in diesem Gebiet kein Mobilfunkempfang möglich. Durch die schlechte Platzierung des WLAN Routers war der WLAN Empfang im Neubau eingeschränkt und im Garten gar nicht verfügbar. An einem Tag viel das Festnetz und somit auch WLAN aus, sodass wir von jeglicher Kommunikation abgeschnitten waren. Fazit: ein schönes Haus, aber wir würden es leider aufgrund der geschilderten Sachlage nicht mehr buchen. ...

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with your feedback, we agree that it's a beautiful house! We're sorry to hear that the property didn't meet your expectations. In regards to your concerns about the smell, we have had conversations with the housekeeping company regarding the extra cleaning that is needed following dogs staying at the property. Had you let us know at the time we would have of course assisted and asked the housekeepers to return and address this for you. We've also discussed your additional cleanliness concerns with them and have been informed these have been addressed. We do mention in the property description that the telephone reception in New Mill is limited, however the signal and internet in the main bit of the house is good (unfortunately this does not cover the annexe). I can see that you contacted us during the stay regarding the internet outage and we arranged for an engineer to attend, however this was cancelled following you letting us know that all was working again by the afternoon. In regards to the suggestions of a grill and sun loungers in the garden, the owners have informed us that while they did buy new garden chairs during the summer, there's not enough space for reclining ones unfortunately. They've also said that as per the handbook, there is a space in the garden for a disposable barbeque to be used should guests wish. Again we're sorry to hear that it wasn't the property for you and if we can be of any help with future holidays please do let us know....

WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY. THE COTTAGE WAS GORGEOUS, BEAUTIFULLY FURNISHED AND THE BEDS WERE COMFORTABLE. IT IS A GREAT LOCATION TO EXPLORE FROM AND REALLY EASY ACCESS TO PENZANCE AND ITS AMENITIES.

This was our second stay at beautiful Bythmoy and it did not disappoint. A perfect cottage in a perfect location with all of the amenities and home conforts you could wish for.
