The property was well equipped, lovely peaceful setting. Bed very comfortable. We loved the kitchen space. Arrival instructions clear, kitchen really good. Sofa unfortunately we found rather worn and uncomfortable. However, unable to use other lovely depicted outside space due to the absolutely gigantic pile of manure 10 feet away with the associated smell and flies. ...

We try our best to give all the details you need to choose the perfect holiday cottage and mention it overlooks the farmyard. Unfortunately, the farm had some manure built up ready for spreading on the pastures as fertiliser. We can only apologise for the smell and flies making relaxing in the garden unfeasible. Lovely cottage in a remote rural setting. Big kitchen with huge windows that let in lots of light. Very comfy bed. Bath with a skylight over the top. On a working farm, but just the right amount of atmospheric mooing and baaing. Good setting for walks around Clapham, Austwick and Ingleton, but also 30 - 50 mins for a day-trip to Hawes, Kirby Lonsdale, Ribblehead etc. Slightly less private than I expected because neighbours are close and the terrace is a bit overlooked. Normally that would have bothered me, but the place (and neighbours) are so nice, it didn't. Hope to book again. ...

A more accurate location given at booking stage. Directions from the West (M6) as well as from the East (Skipton) would be useful. Best to follow directions to Clapham station, and then pick up same route as from Skipton. Other routes via Bentham are via narrow lanes where meeting another vehicle could involve awkward reversing....
