My partner, our 19-month-old daughter, and I had a wonderful stay at Garden Cottage. Our daughter loved starting each day by saying good morning to the sheep in the neighbouring field and greeting the horses just down the road. The cottage itself was fantastic. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed was very comfortable, and it has a lovely garden space to relax in. You definitely need a car to make the most of the location, but it serves as a brilliant base for exploring. During our stay, we enjoyed day trips to York, visited the coastal towns of Staithes and Sandsend, and explored the National Trust properties at Rievaulx Terrace and Nunnington Hall. We also fitted in plenty of lovely walks across the North York Moors. We would highly recommend Garden Cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in Yorkshire....
