We had a lovely time, in a super, tasteful, clean and comfortable apartment. We were there for a big family celebration with our children and their spouses and renting this and Polvellan Heights together meant that we had plenty of space for us all. A very great location too with a rare (for Mousehole) parking space. ...

This is a stunning property, very well appointed and in a perfect place to visit the surrounding area (highlights are Mousehole itself, Marazion, St Ives, Porthleven) - we visited during low season, first week of December before any Christmas lights were turned on, which meant we practically had everywhere to ourselves and it was bliss. The cottage had everything we could need, and more, and we loved using the binoculars provided to nosey at the passing ships/spot the seals. The Old Coastguard across the road was a firm favourite of ours for a late night tipple, and the rockpool just across the car park was fantastic for a chilly dip at low tide. ...

A beautifully equipped, clean and comfortable cottage in a prime location with fabulous sea views. Simply one of the best Classic Cottages properties we've ever stayed at, and I'm sure we'll visit again. We spent a lot of time on the large, sheltered and private verandah, often at mealtimes, as we were lucky with the weather. On those occasions when the weather was a little chilly, the small 'snug' was a favourite place to sit with a pair of binoculars. There are several high-quality eating establishments in Mousehole, to suit all tastes and budgets, and it's an easy jumping off point for the far South west of Cornwall. Parking can be an issue if you have more than one vehicle in your group - there's a paid car park opposite, in sight of the cottage, which had plenty of free spaces in April when we visited. It's a significant cost though - £77+ for a week and the on-site payments machines take cash only, no cards. Using the JustPark app is simple and efficient though - best to download it before you arrive. Roadside or harbour parking isn't particularly practicable though - they were often full....

We are so pleased to hear you had an enjoyable stay at No 1 Polvellan. The view from the terrace truly is beautiful! Parking is unfortunately at a bit of a premium in Mousehole, with many properties not having this facility, so we do hope that having at least one allocated parking space came in handy. Being a traditional fishing village, it was not designed with cars in mind at the time, but is part of what gives it such a charming appeal! Thank you again for your feedback. Lucy.
