Let me be clear, we had a great stay. This place is in a superb location, stunning on the outside, very spacious on the inside. It has good energy, you can tell the owners love it. As well as the caretaker, Raechel, she's just wonderful. My pup loved watching the sheep from the windows. We loved: the peace and quiet, the woodburner with the firewood included, ( thank you!) Spacious property, very private, big living/dining area. spacious hallway, shower downstairs is very handy for the dog. stunning stars at night perfect location, 30 mins to various beaches and beauty spots Very respectful neighbors It's a functional cottage big dishwasher, placed handy. the washer/drier was a must in rainy weather. We used it often. Great porch and parking. Stunning look at night, with the porch lights on. The owner is clearly involved and lovely, she was kind to call immediately when it became clear I did not receive the welcome email. this place has beautiful features, the wooden doors, they had been painted and looked fresh, stunning. it was warm when it needed to be. This place has a LOT going for it. But to stay with the times, a few things need to be updated: ( carpet in bathroom upstairs looks awful, both bathrooms could use an upgrade, stock the kitchen with some of the generals: oil, salt, cling film and foil, kitchen towel, tomato ketchup and mayo. Add a good hairdryer and bathrobe and slippers. Make everything look fresh ie. lampshades, couch. A little investment would go a long way for this place. Make sure Netflix works properly. ) But location wise, privacy wise, looks on the outside, spaciousness and views from the house, this is a superb location. It would be a 5PLUS with the upgrades suggested. At the moment I would give it a 3. So I feel torn, as we did enjoy our stay once we "forgot" or tried to forget, about some of the short comings. ...
