We loved the cottage, so spacious and clean and yet homely. The tiny hamlet location was peaceful, natural but not too far from amenities. We did have a hiccup with the new Hive system on the last day but Sharon from Classic Cottages was so attentive, as was the cottage owner who probably spent about an hour of his evening getting the hot water working for us....

We loved our stay at Mowhay Barn. It was our second visit and we’ll definitely be back. From the comfortable beds to the well equipped kitchen there is everything you need. The location is also excellent with beaches within easy reach and lots of other great days out! ...

Mowhay is a lovely spacious converted barn, with plenty of space for up to 8 adults. Ideally located close to great walks, coves etc:. Thoroughly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Mowhay Barn. It was such a peaceful setting, garden & interior that we felt very relaxed and calm, a lovely and stress free holiday. As a party of 5 adults the barn had enough living space that we could all get together in the living rooms but also find a quiet space when we wanted. It would easily take a larger family group or couples sharing. The kitchen was perfect for getting together and was well equipped to make home cooked meals so we had the choice to eat in when we wanted with large tables there & in the dining room. The bedroom layout worked very well. The en suite king size room being downstairs meant we all had space & privacy and upstairs gave everyone space and fantastic views. The extra shower room downstairs was very useful. We spent a lot of time in the garden watching the birds & enjoying the views & fantastic sunsets towards Sennen. You can drive (or walk if you’re fit) to the coast and to several local coves and beaches and also enjoy the surfing nearby in Sennen & can easily reach St Ives and Hayle. Lots to do for all generations - St Just and Penzance are easy to reach by car for all we needed and for some nice food, shops & culture & there’s the walks, wildlife and fascinating history of the area too. Too much to write here but there’s a thoughtful list of suggestions provided by the lovely owners, who were kind enough to accommodate an extra car space for us and kindly helped with a couple of extra requests. We had lovely weather but although it can be changeable in Penwith there’s enough to do with lots of books & games. A cosy day or more in the Barn would be great if it’s wet. We won’t hestitate to return when we can next get together - it was well worth the drive to nearly Lands End! Thanks to the owners for the opportunity to stay in such a lovely place. ...

Driving off the beaten track and into the hamlet we were treated to a lovely view of the outside of the property and first impression was amazement. The quiet location was perfect with great access to explore all of the West of Cornwall easily. (Other reviewers have noted the disused farmyard behind, but unless you stand looking out of the back windows this is not really noticeable from the property and only adds to the location. If this was built over with houses, or had cows lowing and farm machinery clanking all day it might be a different matter!) On entering the property we were impressed with the layout and space and authenticity of the barn conversion. Beautifully furnished and comfortable. Would definitely recommend Best we have stayed in!...
