Montacute House, another National Trust property, is also worth a visit.
Why not hop on the West Somerset Steam Railway that leaves from Bishops Lydeard?

Myself and my husband absolutely loved every second of our stay at The Whistle! Felt so welcome on arrival, nick and sally left us welcome gifts (2 bottles of somerset cider, cookies and fresh milk!). We've honestly never felt so relaxed! Views are amazing, hot tub was lush! Bed was so comfortable, shower is amazing! Loved the drinking water tap in the hut. Absolutely loved everything at The Whistle. 100% recommend to everyone, we will definitely be returning!
