As you walk around the Somerset Levels you may glimpse Glastonbury Tor or hear the mysterious booming of a bittern. It's a magical landscape at any time of year and is very popular with bird watchers and natural history lovers.
If you fancy a challenging walk then head to Cheddar Gorge with it's fabulous paths and exhilarating view. It'll take your breath away!

Thank you for having us! The treats welcoming us were delicious. The accommodation had plenty of private indoor and outdoor space to relax together. We enjoyed how kitted out the kitchen was too for those who like cooking.

Lovely stay at this cosy cottage. The property had everything we needed and more. As we were staying in December we didn't use the outdoor space but can imagine it having lots of use in the summer. The cottage is well situated for visits to Glastonbury, Wells and the nearby Avalon Marshes where we enjoyed the walks and bird watching. It also has a very good Visitor Centre. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again for longer....

This is a spacious property, with a bright and airy kitchen, dining area and living room making time spent there enjoyable. The property has easy parking. The view to Glastonbury Tor towards the back of the property is delightful. Jon and Linda were very accommodating hosts eager to make visitors welcome and comfortable. Although a small village, Shapwick has a bus service that proves helpful....

This was a very comfortable and well cared for property and is very close to the wonders of Avalon Marshes, as well as close to Wells, Glastonbury and Bath.
