As you walk around the Somerset Levels you may glimpse Glastonbury Tor or hear the mysterious booming of a bittern. It's a magical landscape at any time of year and is very popular with bird watchers and natural history lovers.
If you fancy a challenging walk then head to Cheddar Gorge with it's fabulous paths and exhilarating view. It'll take your breath away!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here with our toddler, newborn son, and dog. We loved it from the very first moment (quantum village, beautiful exterior, lovely decorated cottage, lovely homemade treats in the kitchen and fridge) to the moment we left. The kitchen was very well equipped, bathrooms luxurious and the courtyard was perfect for outdoor dinners and the garden amazing for picnics with our kids. The views are fantastic and there are some many lovely seating areas. We particularly loved seeing the goats and donkeys next door! Location is also great for visiting Wells and Bishop’s Gardens, the various beaches, the wetlands, Glastonbury etc. Highly recommend! ...

"Easily one of our top holiday spots ever!" Huge thanks to the hosts Jon and Linda who made us feel right at home and gave us the ultimate insider guide—including the crucial list of places to avoid! We braced ourselves for a "dog-friendly" cottage (which usually comes with a faint whiff of hound), but this place was spotless. Having stayed in dozens of cottages over the years, this one is right at the top of the leader board. It’s quiet and relaxing, but close enough to visit all the tourist hotspots: Glastonbury, Wells, Wookey Hole, Cheddar, Weston-super-Mare, and a monkey-filled trip to Longleat! Quick survival guide for your trip: - Don't overpack food; shops in Street are just minutes away. - Visit Glastonbury Tor after 6 PM for free parking at Silver Street and zero crowds. (Take the Dod Lane circular route up via The Bridey Bell and down the main drag!) - Check out Ham Wall RSPB or the Avalon Marshes Centre in the early morning or late evening (use the Merlin app if you can't tell a sparrow from a seagull). Also make sure you spot the falcons on the Glastonbury church tower too. - Book your pub tables early! The Sheppey (quirky, retro, by the river) and the community owned King William Inn in Catcott are top-tier. Gigi's in Glastonbury and Tamburinos in Street are great Italian options. - If you do Longleat, clean your car first—otherwise, the macaque mechanics will happily strip your bonnet searching for squashed bugs! Unleash your inner hippie, grab your crystals, fuel up on proper local cider, and get ready for the ultimate Somerset getaway! I'd highly recommend Minstrels and Classic Cottages!...

A beautiful and quirky cottage with great owners that provide many personal touches as we ll as warm welcome. Ideally situated in a small village but an easy drive to Wells, Glastonbury, Weston or even Lyme Regis. Very dog friendly cottage and area!
