A lovely comfortable cottage in an excellent location … perfect place to stay as a base for exploring the beautiful South Devon countryside.

The service from Classic Cottages was second to none. The cottage we were staying in required maintenance before our arrival and the team at Classic Cottages kept us informed and arranged compensation for the delay. They were also super helpful when I left a bag behind at the house on departure. The bag was retrieved and sent on to my home address. These things happen and it is how they are handled that make all the difference. Well done Classic Cottages. ...

We're so pleased to have been able to help with the slight complication on arrival. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Lantern Cottage and we hope to welcome you back again soon. Tanya, Customer Support

We had a wonderful week staying in Lantern Cottage. The location is absolutely superb, being a stone's throw from the main high street, nestled amongst a network of quaint alley-ways and charming cottages and yet maintaining a sense of peace and tranquility. Totnes castle itself is really close by and everywhere you look, there are architectural features on the streets and buildings that remind you of the historical significance of this lovely town. We found the cottage itself spotlessly clean, brilliantly equipped with everything you need for a wonderfully relaxing week. The owners really have thought of everything and instructions are clear and helpful. If the weather is bad, there are plenty of games and brilliant books to read and wi-fi to keep the kids happy. Excursions available include Totnes kayaks (Stoke Gabriel), Dartmoor, Dartington Hall and gardens, wild swimming near the weir and there are also plenty of eateries and bistros. We were greeted by a friendly seal whilst enjoying a meal out at the Steam Packet Inn on the riverside. We would absolutely recommend Lantern Cottage as a base for exploring this lovely town and we will definitely be making a future booking there. The Elderton family, Bristol. ...

We loved this cottage! Only 5 mins walk from Totnes High Street and car park a few yards away. We paid online each day using the Ringo app - and not that expensive. Close to town centre, but very peaceful. One of the cleanest cottages we have ever stayed in. Welcome gifts very appreciated - thank you ...

We really enjoyed our stay in Lantern Cottage. Great location in the centre of Totnes, so close to the shops/cafes but still manages to be nice and quiet in the cottage. As stated in the description the mezzanine level was not suitable for our 3yr old, once he was clear that was off limits he loved exploring the rest of the house and lots of good kid friendly activities in Totnes and around....
