Head up the narrow, steep stairs and you are straight into the gorgeous sitting-room complete with roaring wood-burner, perfect for those chillier days.

Plan your days out whilst gathering to enjoy delicious food; the stable-door can be opened wide on balmy summer evenings if you fancy a spot of al fresco dining in the sunshine.

The oak beams are all originals and have been lovingly restored.
There is a handy desk area if you fancy sitting somewhere quiet and penning a postcard back home.
The Hideaway is tucked away in a secluded spot reached via a little cobbled lane. 13 steps lead up to the first floor stable-door..

Once an old pilchard press, it has been lovingly refurbished to offer a chic and cosy retreat for four lucky guests.

There are lovely areas throughout the cottage, this window seat has a little rope around it because its located at the top of the stairs, we wouldn't want any children harming themselves.

Outside the property there is a private courtyard area, where you can enjoy a spot of lunch in the sunshine or a cocktail before heading into Mousehole for a bite to eat.
Take a meander to Newlyn to buy fresh fish from the numerous shops there.

The coastal path to Lamorna is one of the prettiest you will find anywhere in Cornwall.
Around this area there are many wonderful walks from Mousehole.
The Ship Inn (overlooks the harbour) is a traditional Cornish village pub. Enjoy a beer whilst looking out over the harbour.
Please note that The Hideaway has a steep staircase (typical of Cornish cottages) with a small ledge at the top, so care is needed.

The Hideaway is a fabulous place to stay. It's tucked away down a side alley in a quiet little spot. It's been tastefully finished in every way (we love the way that the beams and brick work have been left exposed) and has everything that you need to enjoy your stay. The bathrooms are superb and the beds very comfortable. We've stayed here twice and it will remain our favourite bolthole – just don't tell too many people!...

Stylish cottage in an excellent location close to a good restaurant and excellent pub. There is a bit of noise when the British Legion put their empties out. And the seagulls were loud in the mornings. But very few tourists and a beautiful village made up for that. Oh and the Rockpool Cafe just around the corner was a delight - chilled, friendly and an unbeatable view. We didn't want to leave!...

The Hideaway is indeed a beautiful cottage hidden away in a tiny village. Very comfortable and well furnished. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in Mousehole, despite its size, and nearby are many good destinations such as the Minack Theatre. The only problem is the parking, this was problematic on several occasions....

Lovely cottage which made our stay very comfortable. After walking all day along the coastal path, it was always a pleasure to return back.
