The Old Presbytery is a lovely property in a quiet part of busy Braunton. The house is decorated and styled to a high standard with excellent equipment and soft furnishings. Braunton is, in our opinion, not really a village; it’s much more like a small town with considerable hustle and bustle in the centre with the A361 main road going right through the middle of the town. Braunton does have a lot to offer though for eating out and shopping. This visit, we had the takeaway fish & chips from Squires and they were the best we’ve ever had! The nearest pub, The Black Horse, seems to have benefited from many improvements with the arrival of new owners earlier in the year. We thoroughly recommend this property. ...

The property is in a good location for reaching local beaches and the surrounding area and is nice and quiet. Unfortunately all the bathrooms are in need of an update and generally the property needs a good clean; for example, black mould in showers, cobwebs in most rooms. ...

Just Wow!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Old Presbytery. It exceeded our expectations in every way possible and we appreciated the care and effort that the owners had demonstrated in the details, big and small, to make our stay as comfortable and relaxed as possible....from the wonderful welcome box of local treats such as scones, jam, chocolate, and a bottle of wine! to providing linen baskets for the gradual accumulation of used clothing. All the appliances were 'top of the range' so to speak, as was the crockery, bedding etc. I understand the owners use their home from time to time for family breaks and so this explains all the prestigious brands within the property ...they have furnished and fitted out this home as they would want for their own comfort too...we, as renters, benefit from all their perfect choices. I really can't praise the fabulousness of The Old Presbytery and would jump at the chance to revisit!!. ...

The house was amazing and Mrs Norton was extremely helpful with a couple of problems that we had. Would certainly recommend it and hope to go back again.
