Great beachside location in a lovely quiet bay. House was fantastic for stay with friends. Big enough that everyone had their own space but lovely space to all get together too.

The location (almost on the beach) of this beautiful family friendly house is unbeatable for a beach escape. The house and facilities are superb. Great local shop, pub next door serving great food, another pub within a 30 minute walk. 15 minute walk to the next bay. We had an amazing time here....

En route to the property with an hour to go for check in (we were actually an hour late past check in time), and had a call to say they had just discovered the electrics were not working in the caravan and they were working on it. The issue was resolved but did disrupt the whole check in process for us travelling with an elderly lady and young children under the age of 3. If you are travelling with children just be aware that there is no mattress provided for the cot. This information very misleadingly represented on the website and let to the first few nights being very disrupted and uncomfortable for us travelling with a 2 year old who needed the travel cot. We were sent a mattress in the end but it wasn’t until night 4 before my daughter finally had a good nights sleep (and us too for that matter). On the second morning of our arrival someone coming to do maintenance work on the property (someone came to water flowers) just showed up without making themselves known, blocking the drive and leaving the gate wide open (we made sure to keep the main gate closed) as there were three children with under 4. No one at classic let us know this would be happening. We would’ve appreciated the heads up. The roads can be a nightmare to navigate to get to the property as it’s mostly a 1 way traffic system and very little area to pull in and give way. The area is also ruined by the large caravan park which takes from the scenic feel of the place. Lastly a few weeks before check in i asked if would be possibly to arrange some ballooned and a banner as we were celebrating our daughter’s 2nd birthday. It seems those details got overlooked as nothing has been arranged despite being told this would be sorted for us and updated on their system. We just felt like a lot of things got overlooked during our stay. Trying to follow up with matters became somewhat frustrating as we found we were dealing with property management from a separate company and not always linked to classic. The property itself nicely presented. Kitchen is well equipped and lovely views of the beach from the living room area and upstairs master. I would just add that it would’ve been nice to have been left a few extra bin bags and recycling bags. We only had two spare of each for a one week stay. ...

Just in case you are booking through Classic Cottages again, it may be useful to be aware that all the properties that we market which choose to provide cots, only include the standard cot mattress, but on this occasion we agreed to send an additional foam mattress to provide an extra bit of comfort for your infant. You can always contact our Sales and Support team ahead of your stay, if you are ever unsure of what is provided for your holiday. We apologise for anything you felt was overlooked during your stay, both Classic Cottages and the housekeeping management team for the property are always happy to arrange extras for special occasions, providing we receive confirmation and a budget from the guest.
