The six of us spent a wonderful week at Carthew Barn. The location cannot be beaten, so close to Wadebridge, but very quiet, with a wonderful view to the Camel estuary. The house is very well equipped and we did not miss anything. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Two fridges! A big dining table! The bedrooms are also very nice, even luxurious, particularly the master bedroom. We loved the showers! As we did not have time to use the pizza oven or the fire pit we have to come back (rather sooner than later) !

A fabulous luxury cottage with stunning views in a fantastic location. Having booked every year with Classic cottages for over 12 years, this one is a gem. Will be booking up to revisit as soon as possible.. I am sure this cottage would be ideal all year round.

We are thrilled you had such a wonderful time in this stunning property in the most astonishingly beautiful countryside. We would be delighted to welcome you back very soon. Sarah R, Customer Support

Everything was absolutely perfect from the minute we arrived at Carthew Barn. This is the first holiday house we said we would be back to after the first day! Even the morning visit outside the bedroom by the local Pheasant and Guinea Fowl made it perfect!

We will be back!

We really enjoyed our week’s stay in this wonderful secluded and peaceful barn conversion set in many acres well away from noisy roads. I mastered the log burner, though the under floor heating kept us very comfortable during a bright but cool and windy March week. The Barn is very well equipped and, after a little head scratching, the ceramic hob and oven served well, as did the twin fridges, freezer, dish washer, and other kitchen equipment. Everything was spotless as one would hope during these C19 days. Our host Charlotte was very welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful. In short we absolutely loved our stay. Cornwall off season is wonderful, especially when the sun shines. To be recommended.

For anyone looking to stay in a perfectly designed and restored stone barn, in a quiet location with distant views over the River Camel, Carthew Barn is the place for you. Our stay could not have been better, as we were within easy access of everything both North and South Cornwall has to offer. We will definitely be back to book again in the not too distant future.

A spacious barn conversion fitted out to a high specification in beautiful surroundings. It made for a perfect holiday.

This is a lovely property in a great location. Very comfortable and well equipped with everything you could need and close to lots of places to visit with a fantastic choice of restaurants nearby.

Excellent cottage in lovely location. Would recommend.

Carthew Barn is an outstanding property furnished to a very high standard, which together with the hotel style luxuries made for an extremely comfortable stay. We hope to come back soon.

A total gem! River and sea views from the garden, a total haven for our holiday. The sort of holiday property that has all the character of Cornwall with all the luxuries, which is precisely what we were hoping for! Will certainly be coming back again!

We had the most wonderful stay at Carthew Barn. It's so beautifully done out with every detail you can think of, from dressing gowns to gorgeous toiletries; more like staying in a boutique hotel than a holiday rental. The position and view is incredible and there are lots of outside facilities like a fire pit and pizza oven which were great to use as well, not to mention the huge lawn the Barn has access to. We were very fortunate that the sun shone all week too so the garden and outdoor areas where heavily used. The owners were attentive and helpful if we needed them but otherwise left us to our own devices. It really was the most wonderful break, one we will always remember, and hope to be able to go back sometime soon. Thank you so much, The Green Family

Such a beautiful place with the most magical setting and grounds. Easy access to all the must places to see. Just Devine. We loved our stay here.
