A relaxing and beautiful location. The cottage is well-furnished, clean and very comfortable, so much so that we're already planning our next stay.
Mr Beckett.
Mr Jones October 2023
Samphire lived up to our high expectations and we will book again when we next plan a stay in Roseland. The convenience of a stunning beach, wonderful farm shop selling a large variety of very fresh fish including lobster and crab and the proximity of the coast path are great attractions.
ms Perry August 2023
This was my second stay at Samphire, and I'm very much hoping to return in the future. The cottage is extremely comfortable and very well equipped. The location is great, being able to walk (10 mins max) down to the beach and the Hidden Hut, and then only 10 minutes more into Portscatho, with some great eating places and a well stocked village store.
Mr Powell July 2023
Samphire is ideally located, being close to Porthcurnick Beach, the Hidden Hut and Portscatho. It is also a stones throw from the South West Coast Path for those keen on walking. It is well equipped and comfortable. In short, it is an ideal place for a great stay on the Roseland Peninsula. This was our second time there. We will come back again.
Mr Moseley June 2023
Samphire was a perfect place to stay. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and very stylish. The owner had left a wonderful hamper of local goodies which was very much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful break here and hope to return again.
Mrs Bence June 2023
We would highly recommend this apartment. A beautiful and peaceful location, friendly and helpful owners, and particularly stylish and comfortable accommodation. The kitchen is very well equipped for those wishing to self-cater but there are lots of options for eating out locally if not. Two beaches are within walking distance and the courtyard area with tables and chairs is also sunny and attractive. We really can’t fault it and look forward to a return visit to Higher Rosevine (our third).
Mrs Weeks June 2023
We have just enjoyed a lovely relaxing week at Samphire with beautiful weather to enjoy the stunning local beaches. The cottage is tastefully furnished with everything that you need to enjoy a self catering week away from home. We had some delicious shellfish from the local farm shop, also, we enjoyed the local asparagus and strawberries.
Mrs Duley May 2023
Absolutely perfect stay in a beautiful cottage. This was our second stay and will not be our last. The welcome hamper of local products was a really thoughtful touch. Thank you.
Mr Lewis May 2023
A comfortable cottage in a quiet location ideal centre for exploring the Roseland Peninsula would certainly return for another holiday.

Amazing property beautifully decorated , clearly a lot of thought and love had gone into the design .Really friendly owners who live on the site , great location for walks and to drive to other Cornish tourist spots .
Dr Goulbourn June 2022
a lovely well appointed cottage which is perfect for a week’s stay to explore all that the Roseland Peninsula has to offer - within walking distance to the beach and the friendly town of Portscatho. the owners make every effort to think of everything and make your stay a truly relaxing one
Mrs Davidson May 2022
I would definitely recommend this holiday accommodation which was very comfortable and well-appointed. The owners, David and Judy live on the site and are so helpful and kind. A lovely location as well with easy access to Porthcurnick beach and the famous Hidden Hut for food and drinks. The Rosevine Hotel for lunch or dinner is good and the Driftwood, although expensive, is good value as the food is fabulous. Easy access to the coastal path and lovely walks to other sandy beaches. Enjoy!
Miss Gallagher April 2022
Samphire is a beautiful, comfortable, very well-appointed and welcoming property. Great hosts! We very much appreciated their thoughtful and generous hospitality hamper of delicious local produce. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind and to take advantage of its proximity to the South West coastal path, Porthcurnick Beach, The Hidden Hut and the great places to eat in Portscatho. This is our second visit and we hope to return again in the future.
Mr Westcott April 2022
Very comfortable and cosy.
Mrs Wilcox April 2022
The property exactly as described, narrow lane leading to the property. Very well equipped kitchen. The property was very comfortable. The property is close to National Trust land and beaches. Enjoyed our stay here.
Mr George March 2022
Samphire Cottage was accurately described and thus lived up to my expectations. It was really well equipped and comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful coastline of this part of Cornwall. I will be returning. Highly recommended.
Mrs Robinson February 2022
A lovely barn conversion
Mrs Porter October 2021
We have stayed at Samphire on two occasions now, once on our own as a couple and then as part of a family group where we rented all three properties on the site.
On both occasions we really enjoyed our stay and we would certainly like to visit again. The cottage is incredibly comfortable. Everything is just so well done from the general fixtures and fittings to the very comfortable bed, nice quality bed linen, towels etc. We thought that the cottage was very well stocked if you want to stay at "home" and cook - we did this quite a lot just to be Covid careful.
Outside of the cottage there is a lovely courtyard and ample parking. With easy access to the beach and the Hidden Hut and then Portscatho beyond we think this cottage is simply perfect!.
Mr Murfin October 2021
Another stay in this extremely comfortable, well equipped property. The location is excellent and we enjoyed being able to leave the car behind and only have a short walk to local beaches and onto the coast path. Very peaceful.
Mr Cook September 2021
It’s just a few minutes walk from Porthcurnik Beach and the Hidden Hut, and only 20 minutes over the cliff path to Portscatho that has a well stocked shop and a family butchers. And of course it has the Plume of Feathers, a lovely pub with great food.
Mrs Eveleigh September 2021
We chose Samphire because of the location. Very welcoming by our hosts David and Judy with everything you could possibly need so comfortable for a relaxing break Already booked for next year !
Mrs Porter July 2021
We really enjoyed our stay in Samphire.
We received a warm welcome from the owners when we arrived. The barn conversion (one of three) is well situated in a quiet lane a short stroll from the beach. The barn is beautifully presented with lots of special little touches ( nice cups, glasses, linen etc) these little things made staying in Samphire a real treat; it really did have everything we needed. The layout of the barns meant we didn’t feel overlooked - so it all felt very private. Lovely courtyard garden which we used for drinking a glass of wine in the evening. We plan to visit again very soon!
Miss Roberts July 2021
A beautiful cottage in a great location with very welcoming hosts.
Mrs Edwards May 2021
Samphire is amongst the best holiday let’s we have stayed at. The cottage was very comfortable and homely but it also had a feel of sophistication. The location was fantastic and we loved the courtyard with its Mediterranean feel. We very much appreciated the welcoming gifts and the way the radio and soft lighting was left on when we arrived as it was a blustery day and the cottage felt like a haven in the storm outside.
Miss Gallagher May 2021
Samphire is very well-appointed, spacious, stylish and very comfortable. The barn is an ideal retreat for a relaxing stay and has the added bonus of the lovely courtyard - an excellent spot to relax with a glass of wine! There is ample parking and the owner is very welcoming.
Samphire is very well-situated being within a short walk of Porthcurnick Beach and its Hidden Hut, Portscatho with its great pub and an amazing farm shop nearby not to mention access to the SW coastal path.
Mrs Davies April 2021
Very pleased with this comfortable and well equipped cottage. Furnishings and decor of a high standard. Clearly the owner has given careful thought to the development. Excellent location too and Farm Shop a bonus as little shopping available nearby. Great stay.
Mrs Hindson October 2020
Beautifully furnished barn conversion in an ideal location for local beaches, scenic gardens, picturesque villages and the South west Coastal Path. A great place to relax and unwind. Stay local in Rosevine and Portscatho, or go further afield. There’s lots to see and do.
