Bowhay Shepherd's Hut

Unfortunately, we didn’t have a pen with us to write in your guest book, so we wanted to send you this email instead, to thank you from afar for giving us such unforgettable days at your cottage. First of all, we really want to thank you for leaving us the Cornish shortbread… we absolutely fell in love with them as soon as we tasted them! You unfortunately created an addiction in us, to the point that we searched everywhere for that same brand, but sadly we only found some imitations — and they just weren’t the same! Thank you for creating such a small but cosy place, filled with love. In a world where people seem to do nothing but try to dominate, wage wars and fight against one another, it was wonderful to find a peaceful place like this: a dream surrounded by nature and filled with curious little animals. And then… can we talk about the hot tub? After coming back tired from our days exploring, it welcomed us with all its warmth while the sky slowly turned pink. It would be wonderful to move the whole thing to our home in Chianti, Tuscany… so we could have it within easy reach all the time! Jokes aside, everything was absolutely perfect and wonderful, so thank you again! We left you some olive oil — not as good as ours, of course, but we Italians simply cannot survive without it! We also left you a lemon that we had left over, and some toilet paper… well, we were worried that the supply you had provided might not be enough for us! If we can make one tiny suggestion, though, and if we really have to find something that could be improved, we would probably say the Wi-Fi… for us foreigners, it’s quite important! Great shepherds hut, we have stayed in a few now and this one is definitely up there. The bed is a great idea and gives so much more space. Everything you need hot tub was a huge hit and the view !!.

Perfect hideaway shepherds hut with a beautiful view. Lovely and peaceful and perfect for relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again.

This was our 4th time at the Bohay Shepard’s Hut and there will be many more stays. This is where we come for ultimate relaxation. Everything is perfect and everything is so easy we don’t need to think.

What a wonderful weekend! Exceeding expectations, so beautifully decorated and designed, with lovely touches, and in a perfect quiet and idyllic location! Star gazing from the hottub was amazing, and a cuppa with those views were wow! 15 minute walk to the bus stop for the Totnes bus was great so we didn’t need the car.
