My daughter and I have just spent the most peaceful, relaxing weekend at Bowhay Shepherd’s Hut, a truly gorgeous setting, the hut is exceptional and very comfy bed, everything has a purpose. Nice bathroom, hot shower. Outside space is great with different areas to hang out, the hot tub was great, comfy loungers and eating area. We visited Totnes and Stoke Gabriel both very lovely and would recommend The Shack in Stoke Gabriel and The Curator in Totnes for eating out. It wasn’t as cheap as some other huts but we chose if for the hot tub, location and privacy....

We adored this shepherd's hut - a real home from home. Probably the cleanest place we have ever stayed - and there have been many. We loved the peacefulness of the location, the views from the hot tub, sitting by the firepit wrapped in a blanket gazing at a double rainbow, the pheasant strutting over the lawn and seeing the near full moon from our comfortable bed. This place is the most amazing beautiful peaceful place I have ever stayed in, in the UK. Stunning views, close to Torquay, Totnes, Paighton and Brixham. Lovely walks, Paighton Zoo not far away. Owners provide plenty of things for you to look at if you fancy a place to walk to, this was my 4th visit to my happy place. And hot tub is a lovely bonus ...

We stayed here last year and came back again this year. The shepherd's hut sits in the most beautiful location with stunning views. The attention to detail in the accommodation and outside areas is second to none. The hot tub is superb too. The nearest local shop is a half hour pleasant walk away at Stoke Gabriel, which also has a pub and riverside restaurant where we had food and local beers and wine. If you're after a peaceful get away from it all, this is the venue for you. We love this place and look forward to visiting again in future! ...
