Quiet location, easy access to surrounding places such as Wells, Frome, Glastonbury and Cheddar Gorge.

The Piggery is a excellent property which has been thoughtfully furnished and is well located. It is somewhere we definitely plan to revisit.

I am surprised this cottage was not booked up when we made a fairly short notice booking. It is absolutely as described on the website, and very clean and well equipped. We slept in the end bedroom and the bed was very comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space. Both bathrooms were very good, the kitchen was very well kitted out and the living area was lovely and spacious. Wi-Fi worked well all the time. Sofa was a bit squashy for us but that is personal taste, there was also a very comfy armchair. There are long reaching views from the house as well as farm animals in the surrounding fields. There was a cute calf called Dylan with his Mum, and a few other calves in a separate fields, chickens, a cat, Guinea fowl and the famous peacocks who seemed to spend a lot of time looking in the window :) It is very quiet and peaceful, we slept very well. The host came to make sure everything was OK once we had unpacked but otherwise left us in privacy. The house is set in such a way you do not see the owners house and you are well away from the other holiday cottage. We visited a couple of local pubs and had excellent meals, The Mendip Arms and The Oakhill. There is nowhere within walking distance however. Shepton Mallet was a disappointing town, many closed down shops, but nearby Wells is lovely. We would recommend the cottage. ...

We loved the piggery very much. The cottage has plenty of room and very good kingsize beds. It is easy to make the meals in the fully equiped kitchen and the peacock looking through the windows when you enjoy that meal is just lovely. The views in the fields, the birds, the deer, the cows, we've enjoyed it all. The host was very kind and welcoming. The surroundings have lots of things to do and see, we've visited several locations of the National Trust. If one should have to mention a minor point then it is the three and two seater sofa. They look very luxery, but you're seated too soft in there so you cannot sit there for hours reading a book....
