Comfortable & well located cottage. Plenty of room - light & airy. Loved the peacocks but felt sorry for the one legged Guinea fowl. Weather was kind & we enjoyed our stay very much.

The Piggery is a beautiful cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The setting is so lovely with animals visiting including a friendly peacock and a little pony. Some really nice walks from the door either on the lanes or footpaths. Great pubs nearby and plenty of places to visit including Bristol, Bath, Glastonbury Tor, Frome and Wells.
We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet break in a beautiful spot.

Would recommend this property.

The barn is immaculately presented, spacious and has a beautiful log burner. We would highly recommend it as a place to stay.

A perfect like caution for touring Somerset. Friendly hosts and a beautifully decorated and furnished cottage to stay in. Will definitely return.

It’s beautiful. Cosy warm friendly. Quiet spot to wind down. We highly recommend the piggery. Thank you

I am surprised this cottage was not booked up when we made a fairly short notice booking. It is absolutely as described on the website, and very clean and well equipped. We slept in the end bedroom and the bed was very comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space. Both bathrooms were very good, the kitchen was very well kitted out and the living area was lovely and spacious. Wi-Fi worked well all the time. Sofa was a bit squashy for us but that is personal taste, there was also a very comfy armchair.

There are long reaching views from the house as well as farm animals in the surrounding fields. There was a cute calf called Dylan with his Mum, and a few other calves in a separate fields, chickens, a cat, Guinea fowl and the famous peacocks who seemed to spend a lot of time looking in the window :)

It is very quiet and peaceful, we slept very well. The host came to make sure everything was OK once we had unpacked but otherwise left us in privacy. The house is set in such a way you do not see the owners house and you are well away from the other holiday cottage.

We visited a couple of local pubs and had excellent meals, The Mendip Arms and The Oakhill. There is nowhere within walking distance however. Shepton Mallet was a disappointing town, many closed down shops, but nearby Wells is lovely. We would recommend the cottage.

We loved the piggery very much. The cottage has plenty of room and very good kingsize beds. It is easy to make the meals in the fully equiped kitchen and the peacock looking through the windows when you enjoy that meal is just lovely. The views in the fields, the birds, the deer, the cows, we've enjoyed it all. The host was very kind and welcoming. The surroundings have lots of things to do and see, we've visited several locations of the National Trust. If one should have to mention a minor point then it is the three and two seater sofa. They look very luxery, but you're seated too soft in there so you cannot sit there for hours reading a book.

Comfortable, friendly place in a lovely setting. We enjoyed a lovely break.

The Piggery is a excellent property which has been thoughtfully furnished and is well located. It is somewhere we definitely plan to revisit.

Perfect place to stay for our November long weekend with friends - light and airy, great views and so warm and cosy, the underfloor heating is superb and the central log burner a great touch. Our friends wanted to move in permanently! A lovely, comfortable, quality conversion, surrounded by countryside with cows at the bedroom window and peacocks and hens strutting around. Delightful. Fantastic location to explore so many country towns and National Trust properties, with Bristol and Bath only about 45 minutes away.

We absolutely loved this cottage. It has a huge living space with big bedrooms and bathrooms which was perfect for us and our two children. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed and the views from the property are very picturesque. The children especially enjoyed the peacocks at the kitchen door! Would definitely stay again.

Lovely cottage. Quiet and comfy and would def go back again . In a great area. Didn’t want to leave to be honest

We had a throughly wonderful few days at the piggery. The property was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The location was great for exploring the local area or just relaxing in the peaceful surroundings of the cottage. We would definitely love to return one day.

A lovely barn conversion, very comfortable with all needs catered for. A great place to stay whilst exploring Somerset.

A lovely getaway in a peaceful location. Ideal for walkers or dog owners.

We really enjoyed our stay, in lovely accommodation which more than lived up to expectations. We shall come again

Excellent location for Frome and Wells. Plenty to explore in the area. Accommodation was excellent and would happily move in permanently!

Our second stay at The Piggery, lovely holiday let, spotlessly clean and roomy , we love the surrounding views and the calmness of the place, will definitley return.

We had a great stay at the Piggery. It was comfortable and spacious and in a lovely location. It worked really well with young children being on one level and lots of room inside and out for them to explore. They loved having farm animals on the doorstep. We really had a lovely time. We would book again.

We had a lovely stay in the Piggery. The accommodation was excellent. It was a shame that storm Alex came too!! It didn't stop raining for the whole weekend. The Piggery was so comfortable that we curled up by the log burner and relaxed. We would love to stay again to appreciate the fabulous views and surrounding countryside.

The Piggery is one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in. it was exceptionally clean, warm and comfortable with so much space. It was a treat to return to each day and we really appreciated the log burner as it was a cold and windy week in February. The children loved seeing the goat, cows, deer and pheasants on the farm and also visiting the new born lambs. We were made to feel very welcome. Thank you!

Fabulous holiday cottage, so comfortable and very well equipped.

The Piggery was fantastic. The quality was superb. The owners had thought of everything. We did not want to leave.

The location was also excellent - so close to so many great places to visit. The view to Glastonbury Tor was also very special.

The Piggery was absolutely outstanding in every respect and exceeded our expectations. Everything about the cottage was superb and the owners Hillary and Sue were lovely people who looked after us so well. Score is 10 out of 10.
