Puckey's Forge

This was our second stay at Puckey's Forge - our first time was 5 years ago, which was our first holiday together as a couple! We loved it so much we returned this year with our 1-year-old! There are so many reasons to love Puckey's Forge: first and foremost, the fabulous owners who gave us such a warm welcome (popped round with scones within the hour of arriving). Our car broke down the morning we were due to leave, and they kindly let us back into the property with a tray of toast and tea while we waited for assistance! The property itself is wonderful - spotlessly clean and so comfortable. The location is beautifully quiet but also convenient for getting almost anywhere in Cornwall, particularly Truro, The Roseland, Newquay, St Austell and beaches on both the north & south coasts. This cottage is furnished to a high standard and is very comfortable. It is well situated to visit different areas of Cornwall. The owners, Charles and Annie, made us feel very welcome with flowers, wine and food items on arrival. Highly recommended! John and Mary Lawler...

Puckey’s forge is a superb cottage, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. There is a good sense of space for a small building. There is access to a fantastic garden. Very peaceful setting. The cottage is Ideally situated for all places of interest on the Cornish coast and there is a good shopping centre within a short distance. The cottage owners, Annie and Charles are lovely and made us very welcome. A luxury welcome pack of snacks was provided and their advice about the area and how best to travel was spot on! Perfect hosts! We would definitely recommend this cottage and intend to book it again in the future....

Puckey's Forge at Ladock must rate as one of the best holiday accomodations we have hired and really felt like a home from home. The property was very spacious, furnished to an extremely high standard and fully equipped with all you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Everything was found to be spotlessly clean and tidy on arrival, with the gift of wine and other treats, a nice gesture and most gratefully received. Charles and Annie were wonderful hosts, always on hand if we needed them but not at all intrusive. Our friendly chats together made us feel very welcome and the surprise treats waiting on our return after a long day out .. quite special. The location itself is ideal for exploring all of Cornwall, being quite central and with good access to the major roads, placing both the north and south coast within easy reach. All in all, we highly recommend a vacation here and are already looking forward to our return visit in the not too distant future....
