Absolutely superb host and hostess very welcoming and the cottage was quite amazing.

Puckey's Forge cottage was excellent in every detail, down to the decor, furnishings, cleanliness, and location

Superb cottage and hosts, what more could you want.

We loved every minute of our stay at Puckey's Forge. The welcome we received from Annie and Charles when we arrived was excellent and the high standard of accommodation was a real, 'home from home'.

Everything about our stay was fabulous. Puckey's Forge is very well equipped and we had a delightful week there.

Thankyou Annie and Charles for making us feel so welcome. We will definitely be back again.

We were welcomed upon arrival and shown around the cottage. Annie provided us with a welcoming pack of goodies to start our one week stay. Later in the week Cornish cream tea and freshly baked bread kindly provided. Charles and Annie were superb hosts and delightful people. The cottage is quite new from 2019 and developed by Charles out of his man cave. It’s tastefully decorated with access to a lovely garden leading down to a stream What a find!

A beautiful cottage, more than home from home. We loved it.

Our two weeks at Puckey's Forge was a super experience, the owners have made it a true home from home. We look forward to returning next year.

Puckey's Forge was beautiful ! It was ideally situated for exploring the area and also offered every amenity for a homely stay. Our hosts were fantastic and very hospitable . We would definitely recommend to everyone and would like to return ourselves one day.

Beautiful cottage and garden very clean and comfortable. Lovely hamper filled with lots of goodies from Marks and Spencer’s. Ann and Charles were very friendly. Fresh flowers in the kitchen and bedroom. The bathroom is amazing!! The bath ... what can I say? Ladock is a perfect base lots of beautiful places within a 30/40 minutes drive. Marks and Spencer’s food hall 9 minutes drive away. I would recommend this cottage to everyone, you will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderful holiday here at puckeys forge. Very good location central to all locations. Stunning cottage home from home. Ann & charles are lovely kept sending little gifts round very delicious!

We really enjoyed our stay at Puckeys Forge and would recommend to anyone. It’s a lovely cottage in a great location and the hosts Charles and Ann were very accommodating and friendly.

Finished to a very high standard this lovely cottage offered a very comfortable base from which to explore Cornwall. Our hosts had gone above and beyond expectations with all the little extras they provided. We couldn’t have asked for more.

We had a superb stay at Puckey's forge! We arrived to a very warm welcome from Anne and Charles, including a homemade loaf of bread fresh from the oven, a hamper of yummy treats and a stocked fridge. The location is fantastic: quiet and scenic, yet super convenient for the north and south coast - and handy for the nearby Waitrose! The cottage itself is beautifully furnished: it's comfortable, light and well-equipped for a week of self catering. We particularly enjoyed the private terrace off the living room, and made the most of sitting out there with a cup of tea and a book after a long day of walking on the Cornish coast path. It was a perfect retreat from the world, and we would happily stay there again!

We had a warm welcome from our hosts who had gone the extra mile - several times over, with their many generous touches.

The cottage was in a great location and was furnished to a high standard. We liked the view into the garden on both sides and would have made use of the balcony area had the weather been warmer. It is the ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle being very calm and peaceful.

We would certainly book again in the future if we were to stay in that area again.

Its position is easy to find and access to the north and south. We didn't get lost. I can't think of any faults and that is unusual for me. Your next door hosts are really lovely. The William Morris stained glass windows at Ladock church, within walking distance, are a treat for any fans.

Puckey's Forge is a superb place to stay, we couldn't have asked for more. Charles and Annie are excellent hosts, and we were made to feel extremely welcome. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here.

The best self-catering cottage we have ever stayed at. Owners are very friendly and helpful.

Lovely owners who made us so welcome Cottage spotless and comfortable

A lucky find, we will be back.

Super friendly hosts! Delightful cottage in an excellent location.

Puckey’s Forge has been carefully restored and converted into an extremely comfortable holiday cottage for two people. The conversion was carried out personally by Charles and Annie and took over a year of hard work to complete. The result is a credit to them both.

Charles and Annie themselves were perfect hosts and lovely people. When our dog became seriously ill on holiday they were immensely supportive in finding a vet on a Sunday and even driving us through to Newquay. Under any circumstances I am sure that they would be on hand and go the extra mile to help their guests and make them feel welcome - Annie’s scones are a treat!

We both had a wonderful time, the owners were very helpful and excellent hosts. The property was well above standard and had everything you would expect and more.

Wouldn't hesitate to book again. !!!!
